Lou get tossed early in the game (2nd inning) and for those of you watching the game with the slightest ability to read lips, show a profanity -laden tirade form Lou that would get 2 or 3 "Fire Ozzie" columns from Jay Moran-otti if Ozzie did anything near that. We will see if Jay has the balls to say anything negative about Lou. Either way, I won't give a crap- because my emotions are a 180 degree turn from last week (as I am assuming is also true for UIC Badger!). Hey, it's a long season and the race in the AL Central is getting awful tight. But for now, all is well with baseball in Chicago!

No lead is safe against the Cubbies at Wrigley this year (no matter how wild Wood and Marmol-what's his problem all of a sudden!-get). As long as the Cubbies have the last at bat, hold your breath if you are the opponent.

As I'm posting this, Yankees lose again to the Reds, and the Cards are beating up on the BoSox in hopes of a second straight W in Boston. Oh well, hopefully the city will be filled with drunken chicks tonite!

Cubbies win Game #1

Yeah, the Cubs won the first game, an incredible game at that. For the most part fans were great in the park- especially the older Cubs fans in front of me. Everyone, Cubs and Sox fans together in harmony, had a great time at Yak-zie's after the game (although HM would be disappointed it what has happened with the wings!) Of course, I should have done a better job of ignoring the drunken, ignorant, almost half my age, frat boy rejects that egged me on outside Wrigley (Thanks for holding me back, Tyler Rose-even though we could have easily taken them). But that what you get for wearing your colors in enemy territory. "Wearing your colors don't mean we are war, it's just who we are. And we don't take our colors off for anyone, especially the Orphans!"

Congrats, Cubbies. And the Sox didn't lose because Ozzie pulled Danks (Mariotti- how low can you sink, you lying scumbag FAG!). Leaving two runners on second with less than 2 outs resulted in the "W" flag being posted.

2005 FIRST ROUND NFL DRAFT-FIRST ROUND (PART 1)

1. ALEX SMITH- QB, San Fran : Not exactly following in the grand tradition of Joe Montana, Steve Young or even Jeff Garcia.
2. Ronnie Brown-RB, Miami: Injured in week 7 of the 2007 season. Not exactly superstar status yet, but more productive than Benson.
3. Braylon Edwards-WR, Browns: Had a breakout season in 2007, over 1,200 receiving yards. One of the few bright spots of this first round.
4. Cedric Benson- bust on and off the field.
5. Cadillac Williams- RB, Tampa: Like Brown and Benson, another running back who was injured in 2007. But since he was Offensive Rookie of the Year, there is some promise here if he can stay injury-free.

2005 NFL DRAFT-NOT GOOD.

The old adage is that it takes 4 or 5 years to evaluate a NFL draft class. Well, with the Bears cutting C-Ben, the #4 pick in the 2005 draft, we don't have to wait to conclude that the 2005 class will NOT go down as one of the great drafts in history. More to follow...

ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, A GOOD DAY!

1. It' s one thing to sweep 3 games from the KC Royals, but to follow that with a 4 game sweep of the Twins-damn, that's sweet. 2. Bears waive Cedric Benson. "See ya!" (How long will it take Jerry Jones and the Cowboys to sign him? If you do sign, Jerry, make sure he stays out of Austin!). 3. Bulls have reportedly offered the head coaching job to Vinny Del Negro- don't know if that is good or bad. 4. Finally, I find out there 's a good chance I might get to see my good friend, HM, along with PM next month when they travel through Chicago.

CHICAGO BASEBALL

This won't be true by the time most of you (alright, all 3 of you!) read this, but on Saturday morning both the White Sox and Cubs are in first place. That's not new, and has been true for a while now. But I am pretty sure this is the first time all season that both teams hold an identical 3.5 game lead in the division.

With the Bulls coach-less (and Paxson needing to prove that he deserves to keep the GM job) and Benson arrested again/Urlacher holding out, at least we got baseball here in Chi-town (and as HM likes to add: "Some f-ing hot women!")

IT'S DEJA VU ALL OVER AGAIN!
Cedric Benson is arrested AGAIN, for a DUI. Despite being a star running back at the University of Texas- they don't seem to like Cedric all that much. He certainly doesn't get any special privileges there!
Drinking on a boat..Drinking while driving a car...Let's hope that Cedric doesn't have a pilot's license!!
