Who's got the "Eye of the Tiger"?

Since the second game of the Twinkees-Tigers Twin-bill (hey, that sounds like an advantage for Minnesota to me, yah!) is on MLB Network tonite, I guess I will watch that. Detroit (just trying to GIVE AWAY the Central for last few weeks- the Tigers were lucky to win one out of three at the Cell this weekend. That's sad, you are fighting for your lives to hold on to first place and you only win one out of three from a team that has just been eliminated. Leyland must be up to 3 packs a day just about now!). Twins probably need 3 out of 4 in Detroit.

I guess we shall see who has the "Eye of the Tiger" after-all!

Twins may need some help from the White Sox this weekend, as Detroit finishes the regular season with a 3-game tilt against the ChiSox. Ozzie has stated that if the series means something in the division race, we shall see the regular starters.

Dolphins Trade for Tyler Thigpen

Thigpen was what- 3rd string with the Chiefs!! Should have waited a few hours and instead picked -up Jeff Garcia, who was just released by the Eagles.

Dykstra seems to be under the belief, that just because he has filed for bankruptcy does not mean that he cannot continue to steal.

The bankruptcy court has appointed a trustee, because, well Lenny Dykstra cannot be trusted. Now he is barred from entering "his" houses.

Rumors are spreading on the net that he is sleeping in his car (not sure if that is his $400,000.00 car that was featured so prominently on Real Sports).

5 Quick Thoughts from the College Football Weekend

1. Hey, Notre Dame fans, maybe that game against Washington is not a sure win for the Irish after-all?!
2. Because of the Washington upset over USC, overlooked is Florida State's beat-down of BYU in Mormon Country. BYU was in the top ten and Florida State was coming off a loss to Miami (is the U back?!), but the Seminoles made a statement- for this week at least. I wonder if any Florida State co-eds made the trip to Utah?
3. Greg Paulus- 2TDs and almost 350 yards passing for the Orange! Granted, it was against the Northwestern defense, but still! Next for Paulus, the Mighty Black Bears of Maine!!
4. Michigan matches last year's win total- 3!!! Speaking of the Big Ten, the Illini did not lose this weekend. Next for the Illini, the Buckeyes!

5. Maybe Lane Kiffin (a certified a-hole) is not that bad a coach after all. At the vary least he was smart enough to hire his dad as defensive coordinator and recruiter extraordinaire Ed Orgeron!
