OFF TO ARIZONA

Some nice weather (hopefully); a Spurs-Suns game and lots of Spring Training games. Of course, sprinkled in lots of beer and high caloric foods.
Don't knoe how much blogging I will do, but probably will be tweeting a far amount!

Elite Eight

Roy Williams will be rooting for Kansas, as always. Here' s my ranking re rooting interest:

1. Louisville
2. Ohio State
3. Baylor
4. Kansas- would piss of both Carolina fans and Illini Nation.
5, Syracuse- Future ACC member
6. Florida
7. Kentucky
8. UNc- "ABC"- Anyone But Carolina!

Drew Brees' Reaction To Sean Payton Suspension

From Twitter:
I am speechless. Sean Payton is a great man, coach, and mentor. The best there is. I need to hear an explanation for this punishment

Crazy Sports Wednesday!

In order of importance (sorry, Illini fans!)

1. Sean Payton suspended for 1 year. Greg Williams suspended indefinitely. Saints also lose 2 second round picks. This story will be interesting to watch as it develops.

2. Tebow traded to the Jets for a 4th and 6th.

3. Shaka Smart say "NO" to the Illini! Is Chris Collins still on the Illini radar. Don't do it, Chris. Take the Northwestern job if it opens up. Hire Jon Scheyer as a grad assistant or lower rung assistant.

A Personal Thank You to Those Chicago Ladies

who know how to dress when it is 80 degrees in March! That is all.

Congrats, Lehigh.

No doubt the better team today.

The Shot!

Just realized that the picture of "The Shot" in the post below cannot be from the Duke-Kentucky game, since Duke was in the home-white unis for the game. That pic is from Laettner's last-second shot over UConn. In any case, GO TO HELL, CAROLINA, GO TO HELL!!

GLOBAL WARMING IS AWESOME!!!!

High of 79 in Chicago today. That's 79 degrees on March 14th!!!
Tomorrow it will cool down to 68 or so. Good thing because I will be inside planted in front of a television.

March Madness!!

ah, 20 years later, yet still AWESOMENESS!!

March Madness Brackets!

Anyone can pick the Final Four- but voting for Esquire's Hottest Women takes skills!

March Madness Begins!

Most of the "reaction shots" that CBS had during its Selection Show were lame. This one was not lame. Way to celebrate, NC State.

Coach Bill Fuller- The Next Illini Coach!?!

Anyone who was willing to bench Anthony Anderson and play a girl at point guard can't be all bad!

Illini Rumors

Names I have heard thus far for Weber replacement:

1. Shaka Smart
2. Chris Collins
3. Gregg Marshall
4. Brad Stevens
5. Frank Martin (really?!)

Reports: Weber Fired At Illinois

No surprise at all. Rumors for replacement are already starting, with one very interesting name- DUKE asst coach Chris Collins. Illini fans HATE Collins for picking DUKE over the Illini when he came out of Glenbrook. Don't see it happening as I think Collins will hold out for a better job than the U of Illinois.

HARVARD MAKES NCAA TOURNAMENT!!!

The Committee will probably place Harvard and DUKE in the same region for a possible Tommy Amaker- Coach K match-up.

Of Course It Is Make Believe!

But doubt that the Cubs on even win the World Series on MLB 12!

Cubs' fans, you can see an actual trophy on the Southside!

Baylor New Unis for Postseason- AWFUL!

Can't root for a team wearing these, can you?!!

At least the Baylor girls still dress right.

Busted!

It appears that Jon Hamm is like his character on Mad Men, Don Draper or is it Dick Whitman?

GO TO HELL, CAROLINA, GO TO HELL!

Duke has won five of the last six in the series, including an 85-84 win in Chapel Hill on Feb. 8, 2012, in the last meeting between the two schools.

Duke has won 22 of the last 32 games in the series dating back to the 1998-99 season. The Blue Devils have won nine of the last 14 games in Durham during that span.

If You Watch One Documentary this year...

Expecting record ratings in Kentucky. Luckily, the documentary will not include me hugging someone who is now my archenemy at the end of the Kentucky game.
