Report: Steroids are a part of golf!
Is there a sport that steroids has not crept into? WHen I find out that professional bowlers are using steroids, then I will lose all faith in the world!

Knuckleballer Charlie Haeger is the newest savior in the White Sox bullpen. In the last three innings, he has given up zero runs (If you watched any White Sox games this year, you would know that is huge!)

Okay Michael, since everyone knows your alter-ego "Ron Mexico", we find out from the indictment that you also went by the name-"Ookie"! Ookie!!!
Thank goodness for The Smoking Gun, which already has the indictment available:

Nikki Sanderson. When I saw these pictures, I took a quick Internet search, because I had no idea who she is and quite frankly, at least to me, she barely looks 18 in these pictures! Maybe that just the effects of feathers and the swing! Thankfully, according to wikipedia she's 23. There's more irrelevant facts, like she's on British TV or something. If you are really interested, you can go to wikipedia:
Hey UIC Badger and PG, can you give us some insight on new White Sox pitcher: Ehren Josef Wassermann! I am assuming that he is a memebr of the tribe. Now if he can only pitch better in relief than Nick Masset!!

To get the bad taste of Ron Mexico and the White Sox bullpen out of my mouth!
A favorite target of this site (also a favorite whipping boy of HM's), Ron Mexico, er Michael Vick has been indicted by a federal grand jury for conspiracy to travel in interstate commerce in aid of unlawful activities and to sponsor a dog in an for conspiracy to travel in interstate commerce in aid of unlawful activities and to sponsor a dog in an animal fighting venture. Michael Vick, you have explaning to do!

GOOD NEWS FOR THE CUBS?!
Brewers put Ben Sheets on the 15-day DL.
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2938710

Hey JAG, didn't you ever hear of George O'Leary?!
Why do people "resume-pad" to be kind, in other words, why lie like sh*t about your accomplishments when a little investigation can uncover that you are a lying sack of sh*t! One of the contestants and finalists on The Next Food Network's Star, Joshua Adam Garcia lied about the extent of his military service (the time spent in the Marines and that he was in Afghanistan) and that he graduated from culinary school (he now states that he atteneded culinary school but did not graduate. But the question is why did he make up this crap? It's is not like this stuff was a requirement for him to be on the show. There were other contestants on the show who never even attended culinary school and unless he was cooking mess hall grub, who cares what he did with the Marines!? Stupid!

A couple of days ago I listed the Hottest 40 year olds and stated that I had no idea who Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon was! The next day I get Playboy in the mail (my subscription ran out 3 months ago, but I am still getting the mag, there's a lesson for you, don't renew right away!) and who is in the mag and on the cover- Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon!!! Forty years old and still hot enough to be in Playboy- that's good enough for me!! My apologies!

THANKS to an e-mail that I just got from EW.com, I just found out that Alyssa Milano ("Not only is she hot, but she's named after a food!"- The King of Queens)
has a baseball blog and it is quite good!
ANd this way you can look at pictures of Alyssa Milano and if you get caught, you can just say that you are reading up on baseball and you can't help it if the blog also has pictures of attractive women!!!

Camilla Sjoberg!! As HM mentioned in his blog (www.hoopramblings.blogspot.com) a few days ago, one of our favorite blogs, www.theputdown.com is back and running. One of Andy's better posts deal with "Hot Chicks that you have nver heard of!" To that end, I found pictures of a young (I assume) lass that I have never heard of- Camilla Sjoberg- on Hollywood Tuna:
http://www.hollywoodtuna.com/?p=3274. She reminds me of a younger, even hotter Olivia D'Abo (what ever happened to her?!).

HALLE BERRY TOPS LIST OF HOT CHICKS 40 PLUS YEARS OLD!
Now here is a list that most of my readers can relate to. Accordign to In Touch Weekly, here is the list of top ten "fabulous 40-something" women:

1. Halle Berry
2. Daisy Fuentes (she's 40!?)
3. Salma Hayek
4. Pamela Anderson
5. Martina McBride
6. Maria Bello
7. Tia Carrere
8. Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon
9. Melina Kanakaredes
10. Nicole Kidman

There are some great pics of Halle at:

Salma is a fav of many of my readers. Have no idea who #8 and #9 are? Where's Heather Locklear or Shania Twain? Demi? Faith Hill just misses out on eligibility as she is 39 (she turns 40 in September).

Nice job, Larussa! Based loaded, two outs in the 9th and you keep Pujols on the bench and let Aaron Rowand bat. Result #1- Rowand fly outs, NL loses again! Result #2- you have pissed off the best player on your own team!

QUICK ALL-STAR GAME PREDICTION:
Even though I hate Tony LaRussa and I consider myself a AL fan, I think the NL finally wins one. I'm going with a score of 7-5!
Since I couldn't find any pictures of all-stars int eh game tonight, I decided to go with a picture of another all-star, Kelly Brook.

Where there's smoke, there's fire!
At the very least, Vick has some explaining to do the NFL Commish and to the Falcons.
17 Dogs were buried on Michael Vick's property!! What's his defense? "Hey, I can't control who comes on my property! Maybe it was the next door neighbors! It's not like I can afford any high-priced security system. Hey, do you want to buy a house?"

Dan Patrick has announced that he is leaving ESPN!
In what has been a disappointing year for White Sox fans, the #2 highlight of the season (behind Buehrle's no-hitter) occured on Sunday, just two days after one of the worst most embarassing days of the season. Javier Vasquez pitched his second straight complete game followed by the White Sox signing Mark Buehrle to a contract extension. Even Jay Mariotti was forced to write a complimentary article about the Sox!!

NO ALL-STAR VOTE IN FOR ZAMBRANO!
Well it appears that Sox fans are better than Cubs' fans when it comes to voting players into the All-Star game. Last two years Sox fans voted Pods and A.J. in, but Cubs fans failed to get Zambrano in this year. Even though there are mroe Cubs fans than Sox fans, I'm guessing that all the retiree Cubs' fans living in Arizona don't know how to do the internet vote.

Putting a cap on 4th of July week!

Enjoy your 4th of July Holiday!

Hey HM, do these qualify as "summer pictures"?
A Belated Happy 21st Birthday to Lindsay Lohan!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY3DOG!!!
You are simply the best!

Will Cubs' fans follow the lead of the White Sox fans the last two year (Podsednik and Pierzynski) and vote Big Z into the All-Star Game? Still waiting for the catchy p.r. campaign for the Cubbies. How about: "Be like Michael Barrett and punch Zambrano....into the All Star Game!"?

Salman Rushdie and Padma Lakshmi to divorce!
Never understood how these two were married int he first place, but who am I to question someone else's cultural beliefs!

A-Rod makes the All-Star team, but all he gets is bad press by the New York media, some courtesy of his wife.

Congrats to the Big Hurt for hitting Home Run #500! I wish he had done it in a White Sox uniform, but at least he will be wearign a White Sox cap when he gets into the Hall of Fame.

NBA Draft Tonight. That means that Atlanta is on the clock with the #3 pick (it is a forgone conclusion that Oden and Durrant are going #1-#2). So what happens with the #3 pick with determine the direction of the rest of the draft.

It is not so bad being 40!

Seven pitchers 40 years old or older are set to start in the major league today, including 44 year old Roger Clemons going for win #350! Demi Moore: also 44 years old!

So, Buerhle may be off the trading block and getting a new contract from the White Sox.

Tuesday, June 26, 2007

Just a gruesome story, as it appears that steroids may have been involved in wrestler Chris Benoit killing himself after he killed his wife and 7 year old son.
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=2917133
According to Boston.com:

"While the Sox have spoken with the Chicago White Sox about the availability of lefthander Mark Buehrle -- special assignment scout Allard Baird has been in Chicago and watched Buehrle pitch -- they are not close to making a deal, according to team sources. The Sox have no interest in parting with prospects such as outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury and pitcher Clay Buchholz, the types of prospects White Sox GM Kenny Williams almost certainly would seek in return."

Hey if the Red Sox don't want to part with prospects, then the hell with them. Trade Buehrle to the Yankees or some one else that will part with prospects. If not, keep Buerhle and re-sign him. Let's see how happy BoSox fans will be with Kason Gabbard in the rotation or worst, Buerhle as a Yankee!!

Sizemore sentenced to 16 months in jail. I guess that means that the show "Saving Sizemore" will be cancelled

BREAKING NEWS: Bears waive Terry "Tank" Johnson.
With the NBA draft just days away, it is time to start looking closely on the Mock Drafts. Here's one that has Corey Brewer falling to the Bulls at #9.

Should the Red Sox trade fro Mark Buerhle?
Not according to Dennis Eckersley!

What is the big difference between the 2005 World Series White Sox and 2007 11 games under .500 White Sox? Well what about the unsung heroes of 2005- the middle relievers, most of whom had career years in '05. Check out these stats from 2005 (according to baseball-reference.com):
Neal Cotts ERA 1.94
Cliff Politte ERA 2.00
Damaso Marte ERA 3.77
Luis Vizcaino ERA 3.73

While Cubs fans celebrate once again, I am going home to watch my 2005 World Series DVD yet again.

With all the sports-related post lately, how about Marissa Miller for the finish!
