BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME

Many eyes will be turned towards Springfield, Mass today as the Basketball Hall of Fame finally welcomes in,
Vivian Stringer!!! Oh yeah, along with Vivian Stringer, the HOF is welcoming in some dudes, including this one guy, MJ, who is dating this attractive younger woman!
Congrats to all!

Still hot, but...

my "ex-love", Suzanne Stokes, still looks good, but age is starting to show.

On the left is a recent pic of SS while the pic above is an older pic, I believe taken just before a work-out session in the gym (I was probably on the stationary bike).

Tila v. Shawne- Some Jucy Details

Alleged details, of course!!
Emphasis added by me!!
The sources told Vara that witnesses at Merriman's home said the three-time Pro Bowl linebacker went to his bedroom with two women.
Sources said Tequila walked into the room and Merriman asked her to join them.
However, the sources said Tequila reacted angrily and threatened to have sex with a member of Merriman's entourage.
According to sources, Tequila was intoxicated, and she got naked and attempted to leave the house.

Chargers' Shawn Merriman arrested

for "suspicion of choking and restraining" his girlfriend, the very cute Tila Tequila.

C'mon, she's at best half his size and one third his weight.

Very bad, Shawn, very bad!

White Sox take care of Sorry Cubs (5-0)

earning City bragging rights for another year(4 games to 2)!!
Since there may be little else for either team to brag about this year, at least Sox fans can gloat over Cubs fans!

FOR SALE AT THE SYRACUSE BOOKSTORE

I KNEW IT- MICHIGAN IS INNOCENT!!

GO BLUE!

REGGIE THEUS & BILL LAIMBEER!!

I'm sure that HM will have more a detailed (including some "inside info") post on the T-Wolves adding Bill Laimbeer and Reggie Theus as ass t coaches. Until then enjoy some highlights!

HARDEN TO REMAIN A CUB- FOR NOW

ESPN is reporting that Cubs' pitcher Rich Harden, supposedly claimed on waivers by the Minnesota Twins, will remain with the Cubs this season.

If true, that good news for both Cubs and Sox fans.

SOME QUICK UPDATES

1. Michigan FB coach RichRod is denying any NCAA rules violations. The most intriguing part of the Michigan story to me is that current players are among the whistle-blowers.

2. Not only is Greg Paulus named the starting QB for Syracuse (BTW, speaking of Syracuse football, watched "The Express" this weekend) but he has also been named a team captain!

3. Kansas City Chiefs in trouble already! First it is being reported that Matt Cassell is out for the season opener (Hello, Tyler Thigpen!), but the Chiefs have fired offensive coordinator Chan Gailey!

MY MAN, MILTON BRADLEY!!

If the weather holds-up and I get all (or about half) my work done, I will be heading to Wrigley this afternoon to get my share of boos in on Milton Bradley!

THE LOVE FOR THE "K" IS WORLD-WIDE

"If you're true Packer fans, you'd understand."

1. ....that I am selfish and only care about me, not team.

2. ....that I love the media attention.

3. ....that I still can't stand Aaron Rodgers.

4. ....that I love going on TV and crying more than Dick Vermiel.

5. ....that I change my mind every ten minutes.

6. ....that it could be worse, I could have signed with the Bears.
7. ....that this is our only chance to get John Madden back!!

OUR LONG NATIONAL NIGHTMARE IS OVER!!!

BRETT FAVRE IS A VIKING!!!
EVEN BRITNEY SPEARS IS CELEBRATING- WEARING HER VIKINGS COLORS!!
(PACKER FANS BURNING THEIR #4 JERSEYS AT THIS VERY MOMENT!)

THE NEVERENDING STORY

Reports are rampant that Media-Whore Brett Favre will be signing with the Vikes today!

PAULUS NAMED STARTING QB FOR THE ORANGE

Maybe I can convince HM to travel with me to Syracuse for Paulus' debut against the Gophers.

Another Blown Save!!

Last night's Padres' walk-off victory
coupled with another Cards' victory appears to be causing a good amount of jumping off the Cubs' bandwagon this morning.

Will Pinella replace Gregg as closer? A good amount of Sox fans will gladly offer Scott Linebrink to the Cubbies after last night.

MY TOP TEN JOHN HUGHES MOVIES

This is a tough list to narrow down to just ten, when you include films that John Hughes is credited as a writer, director or producer, but I will give it a try.

I start out with this caveat- I have never seen all of "Sixteen Candles" (despite the fact that it is part of my expansive DVD collection), in case you are wondering why that did not make the list.

TOP TEN:
1. Uncle Buck- John Candy at his best. The movie gets a little strange/dark near the end when Uncle Buck locks up the kid in the trunk, but that's a minor fault in this film. I am sure that I put this on the top of my list because I have often been compared to the title character (I am sure that is not always meant as a compliment, but I don't care).
2. Planes, Trains and Automobiles- Could have easily been #1 on my list, filled with great moments throughout. If my memory is correct, I saw this at the theatre in North Carolina at a time that I was homesick for Chicago and it did cause some trepidation when I was making travel plans home.
3. Vacation- classic.
4. Breakfast Club- maybe his most influential film.
5. Ferris Bueller's Day Off- does a great job of showing off Chicago, including Wrigley on weekday afternoon and yeas- there was a time when you had weekday afternoon parades in Chicago. Sloane, what?- one of the top ten movie girlfriends of all time?
6. Only the Lonely- another great John Candy film (hard to believe that John Candy has been dead for 15 years!).
7. Weird Science- doesn't stand the test of time as well as some of the the others, but not many women looked as good as Kelly LeBrock ("Lisa") did when this movie came out!
8. Some Kind of Wonderful- personally like this movie better than "Pretty in Pink"
9. The Great Outdoors- Didn't care for this movie when it first come out. Now, if it is on TV, I have to watch the scene when John Candy eats the huge steak.
10. (tie)-Mr. Mom and She's Having a Baby- She's Having a Baby may be Hughes' most underrated film.

Honorable Mention- Sixteen Candles, Career Opportunities (bad movie except for Frank Whaley and a young and extremely well -endowed Jennifer Connelly), Christmas Vacation, Pretty in Pink and Home Alone

Did I miss any?

John Hughes' Uncle Buck

Extra credit to anyone who can identify the actor who played the Clown (no cheating).

Hint- he once bought me a beer.

Chicago's Own John Hughes Dies from Heart Attack

My Top Ten John Hughes films to follow.

Since my one week "radio silence" ban of HM ends today (BTW, how many wins for your local baseball team since your Sox-bashing post? One?!), I hope he will grace us with his comments of John Hughes film and all thing 80s (including pictures of himself in ht early 80s).

In my mind at least, John Candy greeted Hughes at the Heavenly Gates with cold brew!!

RIP, John Hughes, RIP.

You should enjoy the music more than that of David Bagdade. Plus it's under 5 minutes, so you should watch the entire video.

WATCHING VIDEOS- JUST LIKE BRAD CHILDRESS!

Just read a story where Vikings' coach, Brad Childress, stated that he has watched video of Brett Favre (aka Selfish "Like at Me" Media Whore) and Childress declared that Favre's arm looked fine to him.

What can you tell from watching video, you ask?

Well, this weekend, based partially on HM's recommendation, I watched "The House Bunny." And based on this, just like Brad Childress, I can declare that Anna Faris' butt looks fine!

Some Reasons why I Like Joanna Krupa

1. She's hot as shit!
2. She's Polish-American!
3. She lived in Chicago.
4. She told-off T.O. on the Superstars (see a sports connection and a Chicago connection, in case you wonder about the appropriateness of this post on The K-Line); and,
5. The following quote was attributed to her:

"I like my butt. It’s perfectly proportional, it’s cute, and it’s still where it belongs. It’s been behaving so far, and if it doesn’t, I can spank it a little bit and put it back in place-just like I do with my men."

2-2 (National League back in it!)

Thanks to the other St. Louis All-Star Starter!

AL UP 2-O

Is it over already?

Nice fielding, Pujols!!! Take that, Cardinal fans!!!!

ALL STAR GAME PREDICTION

I think it is finally the year that the NL wins the All-Star game, with either Beckett or Wakefield getting the loss.

However, if it's a close game and Trevor Hoffman gets in, then the AL will win.

WHY DO TEAMS PITCH TO D-LEE?!

Espeically at Wrigley?! No one else on the Cubbies can hit worth crap, but teams refuse to pitch around Lee.
Today's example- Tony LaRussa. D-Lee's 3 run homer just tied the game in the 4th.

What's with all the Michael Jackson coverage?

The Michael Jackson memorial! Pop star, alright, but c'mon already!

But then again, maybe I am wrong. Maybe, in the future, much like Bill & Ted's Excellent music, Michael Jackson's music will harmonize he universe and bring peace to all on earth.

"Be Excellent to Each Other!"
