Butler Returns to the Final Four!!

Back to Back! Wow!!
Just read a tweet from Jason Whitlock:

"Gordon Hayward made a mistake. Could've been a legend."
Very interesting. I remember reading a story last year when Hayward declared for the draft (I think the story was in SI) where Hayward's dad basically stated that Hayward's decision to go pro was an easy one. "What's he going to do if he comes back; this time he hits the (final) shot!?" Ah, maybe!

March Madness!!

This Weekend I'm Rooting for Kentucky and Arizona

I know Kentucky fans would never root for DUKE, but that's okay- when you play Carolina, you got DUKE fans on your side. Hoping Arizona can keep playing in the same way they dominated the Blue Devils! Oh way, Arizona co-eds - niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!

VCU! VCU!

If the Rams somehow defeat Kansas and make the Final Four, this will top George Mason's run to the Final Four in 2006. George Mason didn't have to play in a "play-in game." Incredible run for VCU.

Things Not Looking Good For Tressel & OSU Football!

Don't do the crime if you can't do the time! Or, at the very least if you do the crime, don't cover up and then lie about it (see, Bruce Pearl)

With Duke Out, Who Do I Root For...?

With my team out of the tournament (after a total ass-kicking by Arizona, there is no other way to state it), which remaining team do I root for? Right now I am going with Butler (c'mon, how could you not love a team that lost to Youngstown State this year!!); but, feel free to convince me otherwise. But don't even suggest North Carolina or UConn- that ain't gonna happen! If nothing else this tournament is ABC for me: Anyone But Carolina/Connecticut!

One More Attempt TO Cheer Myself Up.

Trying to Think Happy Thoughts!

At least until I can get home and get drunk! In the words of the great philospher, "da Coach" Mike Ditka; "This too shall pass."

Rumor- Isiah Thomas Interested in Loyola Job

Oh God no!! Zeke's record this past season at FIU? 11-19!!!Then again, he did this was also "working" for the Knicks. Thankfully reports that Loyola told Zeke, "No, thank you!" No way I see a Jesuit institution hiring some one with Zeke's sexual harassment record. I see the chances of Loyola going after Bruce Pearl as much greater, and no one is going to hire him until the NCAA rules on his sanctions. Why would he even be interested in the job except to return to his hometown (where the majority of the population hates him for walking off the court in the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals!). He must see this as a stepping stone to a higher profile job in the mid-west (Indiana, if Tom Crean does not start winning soon?) If Zeke somehow was hired as Loyola's coach, I would go to the first game just to heckle and harass him. Other than my game tickets, Loyola would not get a penny of my money!

March Madness- Sideline Reporter

I'm not saying that every sideline reporter needs to look like Erin Andrews, but it looks like the Denver altitude really did a job on Leslie's hair!

Wonder Woman: Old v. New

Entertainment Weekly released the first pic of the new Wonder Woman in costume. Got to say, I gotta go old-school on this one. Why cover so much skin?
