Jessica Alba is denying rumors that she has signed on to star in the big-screen remake of I Dream of Jeannie. Too bad!! I had heard that Kate Hudson is set to star as Jeannie in the big -screen remake. Real bad!! Jessica Alba over Kate Hudson is an easy choice, even if one is judging on acting talents alone.
For those of you who don't know, Chris Duhon is from Slidell, La., a town which has been damaged by Hurricane Katrina. Duhon has set up the Chris Duhon Hurricane Relief Fund. Here's the link if you would like more information:

Another Hollywood marriage hits the rocks! It is being reported that Chicago export, Jenny McCarthy, and her husband have filed for divorce. Could it be that she spent too much time at the "Party at the Palms!" http://entertainment.tv.yahoo.com/entnews/eo/20050819/112450236000.html
Will the White Sox ever win another game?! Losing streak hits six straight with the offense struggling mightily.

Apparently you and I are idiots (at least my Chicago readers)!! This according to Houston based sportswriter, Richard Justice, who wrote this in his own blog:
• Speculation continues to swirl about Dusty Baker's future in Chicago. It's time the Cubs cleared the air. Either offer him an extension beyond 2006 or admit that you're stupid enough to allow one of baseball's five best managers to leave. They don't get Dusty in Chicago. Never have, never will. He's way too smart for those idiots. http://blogs.chron.com/sportsjustice/archives/2005/08/on_steroids_mas.html
Huh? So that's the problem, Dusty Baker is too smart for us!! I haven't checked Dusty's bio lately, but I will try to find out if he has a Ph.d or law degree. Apparently, he too smart for little ol' me because all I have is a law degree! Maybe, Justice is referring to Cubs management like Jim Hendry, but I still don't like it!! As some of you know, I am an avid fan of "Pardon The Interruption" on ESPN ("Tony, Tony!!"). Richard Justice is a frequent guest on that show, and up till now I enjoyed his comments. But from now on, if he's on, I will not watch "PTI", unless Michael Wilbon, a Chicago native, is willing to confront Justice on this issue. To all my idiot friends out there- "Peace out!"

A "plug" for my inspiration as a blogger......... As some of you have mentioned, you would love to see Michael Finley on the Bulls. Well, he will be available as a free agent as of midnight Monday. Now, I am not embarrassed to say that I don't know as much about the NBA, and especially the salary cap, as my good friend and fellow blogger, who goes as "HM" on his blog- so for more on the subject, I direct your attention to: www.hoopramblings.blogspot.com.

Cubs finally end 8 game losing streak , as Maddux pitches a complete game. I will be at Wrigley today (keep your fingers crossed that I am of the 10,000 fans that get a Cubs Floppy Hat!!) cheering for a Cubs win (I usually enjoy seeing Tony LaRussa lose). But even if the Cubs win, please relax Cubs game and do not get teased into thinking that the Cubs still have a chance. It is over this season and time to repeat the favorite mantra of many Cubs fans: "Just wait until next year!!"

Enough about T. O. already!! Terrell Ownes is thrown out of Eagles training camp and THAT is the the most impotant story on ESPN TV and radio. The White Sox beat the Yankees for the second game in a row, yet you would have to watch Sportscenter for a long time to hear any metion of anything other than T.O., the Eagles, and even worse Drew Rosenhaus! Yuck!

Dusty Baker! This is a joke, right? Dusty meets with press and the Cubs post a story on the Cubs website to deny the rumors that Dusty is not interested in the Dodgers, Diamondbacks or any other managerial job! Dusty exclaims: "I'm staying in Chicago!" Dusty isn't that making a gigantic assumption- that you are not fired! Cubs fans waited all season for the return of Nomar and Kerry Wood. Well, they are back and since they have returned the Cubs have posted zero wins!! Dusty, shut up already and learn how to fill out a line-up card and how to handle a bullpen!

Yes, because of technology, "The K-Line" is back! Hopefully- that is! I am still trying to learn some of the "ins and outs" of being a blogger, so give me some time. For those of you not familiar with "The K-Line" it was my attempt to be a sports columnist, mixed with my musings on pop culture- mostly TV. That's my plan here- mostly sports, mixed in with some TV commentary and a dash of life observations. I hope you enjoy.
