SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO? Not this again- Brett Favre has not decided if he will retire!? Sound familiar! Well check out the story from 2 years ago when Brett stated he was leaning towards retirement!
Everytime I think I will be rooting agaisnt the Pats on Sunday ( sick of Boston sports and Boston sports fans, Junior Seau turning into a total blow-hard this season and the NFL's dirtest player-Rodney Harrison), the '72 Dolphins magically appear. Here's the latest from Mercury Morris, which I got from Foxsports.com:
The latest silly salvo directed at the undefeated New England Patriots comes from Mercury Morris, now 61, who went on the radio the other day and spoke his apparently deteriorating mind. "They win on February 3, and they're the second-best team in the history of the NFL," said Morris. "We're the first team. ... If they win, they're going to be the second team."
61 is too young to have dementia.

THE AL CENTRAL WISHES SANTANA ALL THE BEST!
USA Today is reporting that the Twins have traded Santana to the Mets.
TOP TWENTY SPORTS WIVES- Just found out about this one yesterday, while listening to sports radio, and defintely need to keep in mind when we update/revise the Top Twenty list (maybe sometime in February). Kansas City pitcher, Brett Tomko is married to Playboy playmate, Julia Schultz.

AL DAVIS TELLS LANE KIFFIN TO RETIRE!!
Believe it or not, there was a time when Al Davis was considered a genius in football. Aging veterans wanted to play for the Raiders. Jim Plunkett was a bust in New England and San Fran. He goes to Oakland and Al Davis turns him into a two time Super Bowl winner. Well, those days are long gone. Now Davis wants Kiffin to resign and it is believed he wants to replace him with Dennis Green!!! This is just sad. Al, just look in the mirroe and tell yourself to retire. THen maybe, the Raiders could "Just win, baby!"
I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THERE ARE PLANS TO MAKE "FANTASTIC FOUR 3"!! OKAY, THE FIRST TWO SUCKED, BUT THE THIRD MOVIE IN A SERIES IS USUALLY DAMN GOOD (HA!) SO THERE IS SOME HOPE!!
ESPN.COM ranks the 82 starting qb performances in Super Bowl history. And Rex Grossman is far (20 spots from the worst! Champaign Tony takes the honors!!
Still a week and a half away from the Super Bowl, and it's happening. More and more "experts" picking the G-Men over the Pats, or the very least statign that the Giants have a darn good chance to win. Don't know if the basis for this is a true belief that the Giants will or can win, or the increasing Anti-Patriots/Anti-Boston sentiment. SI's Dr. Z (much disliked by this blogger) is pickign the Giants to win. Also...
PACKERS NEWS OFFERS ITS PERSPECTIVE ON THE PACKERS' CHOKE, I MEAN DEFEAT.
And just in case you are tempted to spend $7.95 on the Limited Edition of "Return TO Glory", I suggest you may wnat to purchase the current issue of "Esquire" magazine.
1. San Diego Chargers (I'm not a Pats-hater, just rooting for the underdog)
2. New York Giants
TEAMS I AM PICKING TO WIN
1. THE MIGHTY MIGHTY PATRIOTS ("KNOCK ON WOOD")
2. THE HATED PACKERS
POLITICALLY INCORRECT JOKE OF THE DAY
In an upcoming book, Herschel Walker (maybe the greatest college football player that I ever watched-deserved the Heisman as a freshmen) states that he has suffered from multiple personality disorder. When I told this to my friend, Whitey, he responded: "That's why the Vikings had to give up so many draft picks for him!" Now I don't care who you are, that's funny.
Crazy Pats Fan!
When I heard this story last night that a Pats fan was having the Pats' helmet (specifically, Tom Brady's helmet including the qb's green dot on the back) tattooed on his head- I was relieved to hear that the guy's name wasn't Andy!
Green Bay TV station WLUK has decided not to show an episode of Seinfeld as scheduled for Saturday @ 5:30pm. The reason-because it's Eli Manning's favorite show and they don't want him relaxing too easily in his hotel room. I have included a pic of how Eli's hotel room in Green Bay may be decorated. BTW, does anyone know if Green Bay hotels have Pay-per-view movies? That might help Eli relax.
In case you need evidence that Green Bay fans are just plain crazy!
NOAH- I didn't like you at Florida, and so far, I don't like you that much with the Bulls. More impotantly, it doesn't look like your teammates on the Bulls really like you!

GAME # 4: Titans @ Chargers Is there a coach with more pressure this weekend than Norv Turner. He HAS to win this game. He replaced Marty Schottenheimer for the simple reason that Schottenheimer (I don't care if I am not spelling his name correctly!) sucked in the playoffs. As much as I like Vince Young and Jeff Fischer, I'm going with the Chargers. (Just remember, I also picked Oklahoma and Virginia Tech to win their Bowl games.)
GAME # 3: G-MEN @ BUCS Alright, everyone is jumping on the Giants bandwagon after the so-called "moral victory' over the Pats. That's like jumping on the Lloyd Carr-Michigan bandwagan aver the Wolverines beat Florida (are you forgetting that Michigan lost to App. State, Oregon, Wisconsin and Ohio State!?) Unlike HM, I think Chuckie is one of the better coaches in the NFL. I'm going with the home team: Tampa by 10 (24-14).
Game #2- Jags @ Pittsburgh.
I go with Jacksonville (I'm picking another away team to win, I am an IDIOT!), simply on the assumption that Pittsburgh will miss Willie Parker. I'm thinking low scoring: Jacksonville 17-14.
GAME # 1: Washington @ Seattle
When in doubt, in the playoffs go with the home team. And even though Seattle is a great home team (plus Redskins poor road team) and a much more playoff experienced team, I like the Redskins to continue their hot streak for one more game. I look for Clinton Portis to have a big game. If nothing else, Todd Collins should prove that he is the second best Michigan QB left in the playoffs. Let's go with Redskins 24-21.
THAT'S RIGHT- IT IS ALMOST TIME FOR THE K'S FAMOUS NFL PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS!
Last season, I was 9-2 in the post-season (my 2 misses: Dallas and Romo's botched field goal hold and of course, I went with my heart and not my head and picked my beloved in the Super Bowl). I can tell you right now, that there is no way I am going 9-2 again as I am already having a tough time picking the first round of games. Picking New England over the field should help my overall stats.
SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST POST OF THE THE NEW YEAR, LET'S START 2008 OFF RIGHT WITH THESE EXTREMELY PATRIOTIC PICTURES!
