I am kind of down too, but it was a good year. The Sox were picked for last place, and they won the division and didn't make fools of themselves in the playoffs like the Cubs did. The Sox need to be applauded for their efforts without Crede and Quintin.
Well, they won in 2005--so even under your definition, they are winners!
Moreover, they are also the current Central Division Champions! They were picked for last but still became the Central Division Champions. The Sox are division Champions, not losers. The Cubs, even though they won their division looked so awful that their playoff performance erased their regular season.
Badgers- just ignore hm, he is a Bitter Old Man. He hates the fact that he has to congrat me on Chicago sports team, while Minnesota team, they well......
HM is not a Cubs fan. He has been to both Wrigley and The Cell with me. But until the Golphers play the Badgers-then the two of you can really go at it!

ReplyDeleteOne more thing for Cubs fans to consider--the only team who got swept in the Playoffs----THE CUBS
ReplyDeleteBADGER
Great call Badger- this morning I heard two callers on sportsradio claiming that each was a life-long Cubs fan but they were switching to the Sox!
ReplyDeleteAlso, when arguing with Cubs fans who say they were better than the Sox this year remember:
ReplyDeleteBoth the Cubs and Sox had an identical regular season result---they won the Central Division.
However, the Sox won one (or two if you count the Twins) game in the post-season.
Even the Brewers did better than the Cubs . . . the Brewers who fired their manager just a few weeks ago!
Sox fans do not have to take ANY shit from Cubs' fans for a LONG time.
ReplyDeleteSox -- losers.
ReplyDeleteHow are the Sox losers hm?

ReplyDeleteAfter last night, I think the Badgers can stick a fork in their season ):
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to the Cal-Poly game!

OK, I will amend my comment:
ReplyDeleteSox -- 2008 losers.
There.
Gophers 6-1, but couldn't crack the top 25 despite the fact that they BEAT Bowling Green and Pitt LOST to Bowling Green.
