I am a huge Jack guy, but I have to concede that only a complete Tiger collapse would leave Jack ahead of him. What is remarkable is that at age 30 Tiger has so clearly surpassed everyone but Jack. Great note in the paper this morning -- Phil Mickelson had the golf world in his palm before he hit that driver on 18 at the U.S. Open. His errant shot gave it right back to Tiger. As Tiger was finishing up Sunday, the golf announcer was basically BEGGING for SOMEONE SOMEWHERE to please challenge Tiger. Um, is Ty Tryon still available?
A lot of running backs had longer careers and therefore more yards rushing than Jim Brown; nonetheless, there are still some who still place him as the greatest running back of all time (no surprise here, I have Walter Payton first). Likewise, as to Tiger, he has dominated golf like no other and therefore he has probably done enough for me to cal him the greates ever.

If Tiger bit the dust today, Jack would still be entitled to the "Greatest" label.
