It is puzzling to me that the Bears can so consistently win games in this fashion -- i.e., relying on special teams to deliver a miraculous play basically every game. However, it has, now, become so commonplace that I can only gather that Lovie Smith deserves some credit for his game plans.
Classic lucky Bears win -- ball hits a guy in the ass, leading the Bears to be down 14-10 instead of something like 17-3.
The more amazing thing to me was the after-game comments I heard on the radio today from the Bears:
"well, we started to make our comeback and you could feel the momentum shifting." Huh? You had like 200 yards of total offense and the other team had a 38 yard field goal for the game. Yet you felt the momentum shift in the 3rd quarter? OK.
