WORLD SERIES PREDICTION

I was all ready to go with the Yankees until I saw Ozzie's pregame pick: Phillies in six.

Good enough for me.

Phillies in 6.

Happy Birthday, Amanda Paige

As "Dueling Couches" would say-
"She's Hot."

IS LUCK ABOUT TO RUN OUT FOR THE HAWKEYES?

Top Running Back Adam Robinson is out for the rest of the regular season.

I MISSED IT!

Now I know why the police asked me to stay away from the W Hotel this weekend. The Victoria's Secret Model search came to Chicago.

IOWA- MOVE TO #4 IN THE BCS!

The Hawkeyes are far from a great team (barely beating Northern Iowa and Arkansas State). But if they go undefeated the rest of the way, they will probably be in the BCS Championship game.

They have to play @ Ohio State (and if Ohio State wins that one, it will just be a mess at the top of the Big Ten).

So, how interested would you be to watch say, Iowa v. TCU in the Championship game?

BEARS- TOTAL EMBARRASSMENT; TOTAL ASS KICKING!

Just because....

ALCS-FINALLY

I want to pick the Angels, and I think the Angels will give them a great series, plus I am not crazy about New York's three man rotation.
But, in the end, I have to go with the Yankees.
YANKEES in 6!

UFL!!

In case you were considering watching any UFL (United Football League?) games, I have 4 words for you to consider:

"Starting Quarterback Brooks Bollinger."

RIGGINS- NOT A MEMBER OF THE JIM ZORN FAN CLUB

Does the NBA Preseason Mean Anything?

1. The Bulls are 4-1 in the pre-season, largely without D-Rose. So I ask, does it mean anything?

2. Joakim Noah has been outstanding in the pre-season. Does it mean anything? Or does Noah (who did play better in the second half of last season) return to his pattern of one good game followed by three mediocre/crap games?

NLCS-Finally!

For no valid reason at all, I am picking the Phillies in 7.

Yes, I Believe You!

Guess what? There is another "celebrity" sex tape out there. And better yet, Shauna Sand, who has appeared in playboy plus scantily clad pics of here are plastered on the 'net, wants you to believe that she wants to block the release of this tape.

Her Quote" "Yes, I did make a sex tape with my boyfriend earlier this year. In fact, I've made several sex tapes, but I certainly didn't sign off on this and Vivid has no right to put it out. I am trying to get a hold of my attorney now," the Daily Telegraph quoted her as telling TMZ.com.

BLACKHAWKS

I find Versus-HD on my cable last night and before the first period is over, the Hawks are down 5-0! Before the first period is over. Blackhawks come back to tie it 5-5 in regulation and complete thee comeback with an overtime victory 6-5.
This team looks like they could outscore anyone, but goal tending is a concern.

TWINS Swept out of Playoffs Again!

The Yankees are who we thought they are, joining the Angels and Dodgers in sweeping their first round opponents.
Yankees- Angels. Maybe I am just being optimistic, but I think it will be a great series.

Papelbon- BLOWN SAVE!!

As I write this, the Angels have just taken the lead against "Paps" (first Nathan blows one for the Twins, now Papelbon blows one-pun intended).
I hope that the Red Sox come back to win this game (if only to make this series interesting), but I hate Papelbon, so I am glad to see him blow the save.
Sorry Red Sox fans.

SEC at the Top!

It's Florida and Alabama- #1 and #2 in the polls.

DUKE 49 NC State 28!

Blue Devils, a 14 point underdog to the Wolfpack at Raleigh!
Duke's first victory at NC State since 1984.

Rumeal Robinson- Another Athlete Gone Bad

Best part of the story- the "strip club addict" would "have a bunch of the strippers come back to his place, get buck-naked, and clean his house for $500 or $1,000 each."
No word on how clean a house the strippers kept.
If I ever win the lotto.......

Another "Vacation" Sequel?

http://www.suntimes.com/entertainment/movies/1811479,w-vacation-sequel-chevy-chase-100709.article

Congrats to the Twins

Not too bad a prediction, right?

The Tigers were just giving it away (something like 11-16 down the stretch), and the Twins took advantage of it big time-and played great, especially after losing Morneau (c'mon, this proves it- you don't need him. Trade him away for some starting pitching!!). Plus just a little help from the White Sox- just a little. As I said before OC was a huge addition for the post-season push.

Congrats to HM, PM and RKG. Good for Crede (if he can get out of his hospital bed)!

Right now, Minnesota (yea-hey there!) is at the top of the sports world or pretty darn near there. Enjoy it while it lasts. (Yankees over Twins in 4)

Maybe it is symmetry?

Central Division Champs

White Sox- 2005 and 2008

Twins-2006 and 2009

Another game 163 next year? Sox-Twins at Target Field or the Cell? There are worst things in life.

Today's Prediction

It is very difficult to pick against the Twins at the Dome. The Tigers have looked as bad as the White Sox at the Dome lately. Then again "Baseball is a funny game." Miguel Cabrera apologized to his team for alcohol consumption between Saturday's and Sunday's games.
Still, my crystal ball states:
"Twins 7-5."

Poor St. Louis Rams Fans!

You have what may be the worst team in the NFL right now. Add to that, reports that Rush Limbaugh is interested in purchasing the St. Louis Rams!! (First order of business for owner Rush Limbaugh- Make sure we don't have any black quarterbacks on the team-they are all overrated. I'm just saying. Also you may to keep Rush away from the trainer's room and the team's painkillers. I'm just saying.)

Hey St. Louis fans, at least you still got the Cardinals!!!

Minor Breaking News for the White Sox

White Sox pick up the 2010 option on Sweaty Freddy Garcia.
When you don't make the playoffs, that's all you get-minor news.
BTW, for the third straight year, the Cubs will fail to win a playoff game.

UNDER PRESSURE

Would really love to post something, but this is how my afternoon is going!

UPDATE: Well, HM's wish came true as Aaron Rodgers was under constant pressure (nice job, Packers' OL!) with a great night by that red-neck piece of shit Jared Allen (great player).

As I type this, Brett Favre is about to cry- please, no, not again!!!

TWINS-Live to Fight For Another Day

Will need alot of help from the Chi-Sox, but at least you live to fight for another day.

CHUCK KNOBLAUCH- OH NO!

CHUCK KNOBLAUCH- BAD!

TWINS- Backs Agasinst the Wall

Listening to "Mike and Mike" right now and I just heard: "In the American League, it will be the Yankees agaisnt Detroit."
Hey did I miss something!? It's not over!!! (Hey guys, just remember the White Sox last year who had 3 "must-win"games in 3 days!) Okay, it don't look good for the Twinkees, as they MUST win today and then hope for help from the White Sox.
Yes, I will be rooting for the Twins today, if for no other reason than to have one race in baseball continue. Plus it would be great to have certain people have to root for AJ and the White Sox.
But, it's not over until it's over.
