It is amazing what you can learn from a shirt!!

I'm in a bad mood about the ladies right now, so I thought I would post something I got in an e-mail today. More to follow!

Too depressed after Friday's night game. Hoping that thoughts of Kristin Cavallari will brighten my spirits.

Head-Case Zambrano leads the National League with 14 wins (Garland is second in the AL). Does Z have a chance at the National League Cy Young?

Jon Garland continues to be the ACE of the White Sox starting pitching staff. Luckily for the Twins, they will not be facing Garland but instead the likes of Vazquez, Garcia and "Burr-ly." And all that without Jim Thome! Looks like I better take some Advil-Migraine when I go to tonights's game.

Great site-with 40 years of SI Swimsuit covers.

From ESPN's John Clayton, more on Drew Henson (some team will pick up a former Michigan QB, right?):

The only reason Drew Henson wasn't cut Wednesday was because the Cowboys wanted to check out his trade value. Considering his base salaries are guaranteed, don't expect any team to make a trade. That means he could be released as early as Thursday. It's pretty clear Henson never thrilled Bill Parcells -- and he controls who plays and who doesn't play in Dallas. Jerry Jones traded for Henson and thought he found his quarterback of the future. Parcells favored Tony Romo as his backup and wasted no time trying to convince Jones to sign Drew Bledsoe to try to take them to the playoffs. In the past couple years, for whatever reason, Henson got worse in Dallas instead of better.

Hamstrings! The big sports story of the day will be hamstrings. Of course the national focus will be on T.O. and his pulled hamstring in Dallas training camp. (BTW, what happened to one-time QB of the future, Drew Henson, who will not make the Cowboys roster!?) Personally, I am little more concerned with Jim Thome's injury which is officially listed as a "day-to-day" situation. BTW2, it looks like Herm has lost 2 or 3 pounds!

HELP!! Can someone please let me know where I can get the German version of Sports Illustrated! My girl, Heidi Klum is on the cover in body paint! Yes!!

It looks like Barlow's new coach is making him apologize to his old coach.
RB Barlow, he ain't too smart. Okay, if he thinks that 49ers head coach Mike Nolan is a dictator, what is he going to think about Belicheck disciple, Jets head coach Eric Mangini?
Maybe the White Sox will just "back-door" into the Wild Card, as the White Sox, Twins and the Red Sox all lost last night.

Brittany Muphy can't keep a guy! The best part of this story is the claim that the couple went on 17 dates before sharing their first kiss!! Well, I guess you can have sex without kissing, but......,26334,1254881,00.html
Broncos wanted a first round pick for Ashley Lelie, but settle for a third round pick as part of a 3 team trade.

Matthew Mc Whatever. Explain this one to me. You are in the pool with two bikini-clad chicks, both of whom are probably 10 years yonger than you and at worst, cute, but probably hot; so what do you decide to do- eat a banana! Better yet, the chicks don't leave, they actually cuddle up to you!!
Lil' Wally can verify if there really is no beer in heaven.

Speaking of the big 50, keep sharp objects away from any and all Red Sox fans, after the Yankees complete the 5-0 sweep in Beantown!

Kim Catrell celebrates the big 50 today! While she may no longer possess the youthful beauty of her days in "Porky's" or "Mannequin" , I have to admit, of course I would!
Wow! While I am ready to exclaim Tiger the greatest golfer of all time, ESPN's Gene Wojciechowski appoints Tiger the "greatest individual athlete of all time!!"

Tiger Woods-the greatest golfer of all time! End of story.

What happened to the old rule: "No shoes, no shirt, no service"?
Ozzie made two, somewhat risky moves, that lead to yesterday's victory over the Royals. Dusty Baker? Well, he has been showing up to the games!!

UIC Badger, among others, can breathe a little easier, as Mark Buerhle gets his first win since June 27th!!

Beyonce! A couple of weeks ago, someone came into my office and upon seeing a picture of Beyonce on the cover of Giant magazine, intially exclaimed "Wow" and then upon a closer examination and learning that it was Beyonce, added: " I don't like what she is selling." Take a good look at these pictures and let me know if you like what Beyonce is selling!!

Oh, no! So, that's why sweet thing, Kate Hudson is seekign a divorce.
Here's more on Bruno Kirby, courtesy of the great site, The Internet Movie Database,
Rumor has it that the Cleveland Browns will attempt to play without a center! THe Browns will petition the league office for waiver so that they can start each offensive series with the QB holding the ball without the need of a center snap. The Browns should never have traded Jeff Faine, even though he was from Notre Dame!
The Power of Advertising. All of sudden, I have the urge to purchase a camera, and based on the earlier posts, to smoke a pack.

I am sure that this news will be eclipsed by something more important in the world of entertainment, like a sighting of Lindsey Lohan's nipple or Jessica Simpson holding some unknown dude's hand, but the world should take notice that one of the all time great character actors, Bruno Kirby has passed away at the age of 57. Kirby, most recently doing a great job in an episode of "Entourage" appeared in one of the greatest movies of all time, "The Godfather-Part II." As if that wasn't enough, he was outstanding in one of my favorites, "Donnie Brasco" plus: "When Harry Met Sally", "City Slickers" and "Tin Men", to name a few.

The world's worst anti-smoking campaign.
More importantly, some damn good reasons for posting pictures of my girl, Alexandra Ambrosio.

Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson to separate. Now, I really don't care that these two are going their separate ways. There are two reasons why I am posting this. First, Kate Hudson continues to be the most overrated actoress in Hollywood. C'mon, when was the last time she was in a movie that was a complete bomb? Almost Famous? That was in 2000!How many bad movies has she been in? About 10!? Second, what do women find attractive about Chris Robinson and even worst, Travis Barker?

Courtesy of HM, a much better picture of birthday girl, Catherine Bell.

How Sweep it is!! Things jsut don't get bigger than this weekend's three game sweep by the Chicago White Sox over the Detroit Tigers! The White Sox cannot let up and have to continue to win over KC plus pray for some help from the Red Sox, Detroit's next opponent.

August 14, 2006! Happy Birthday to Halle Berry (stunning, gorgeous, et al at 40!), Catherine Bell, Susan Olsen (yes- Cindy Brady) and last, but not least- K!

You can put it on the board-Yes! Contreras pitches a 3-hit complete game shutout over MLB's best team!

Friday, August 11, 2006

Wishing everyone as much fun this weekend as this guy appears to be having!
Here's hoping for a "Super-effort" from the White Sox this weekend agaisnt the Detroit Tigers! If the Sox lose tonight, we will have my law partner, "Coach" to blame who will be in attendance with his wife enjoying the amenities of one of the Cell's skyboxes. The last two Sox games that Coach attended in person resulted in losses for the Sox. My personal track record is much better, including last night's victory over the Yankees!
Florida owner Jeffrey Loria fired manager Joe Girardi on Sunday, but before the announcement could be made, Loria reconsidered. -- Rocky Mountain News
If this story is true, then it is too bad that Jeffrey Loria "rehired" Girardi. He would be a perfect fit for the Cubs and a perfect reason to fire Dusty immediately!
Ozzie v. Dusty. Ozzie after being ejected from yesterday's game: ''What did I say? I can't say,'' Guillen said of his somewhat staged ejection. ''Whenever a manager gets kicked out, you feel like you let down your team. But you have to do what you have to do, and I will do anything for my ballclub.'' Compare that to Dusty when asked about what he would do if he gets a one year contract next year- "Well, I have a decision to make too." Ozzie: " I would do anything for my ballclub." v. Dusty: I don't know if I want to be here.

More Hollywood rumors! Dave Navarro loses the super-sexy Carmen Electra and now according to rumor, has moved on to Jenna Jameson!
More on Maurice Clarett! He was wearing a bullett-proof vest!!
Maurice Clarett arrested AGAIN! Sounds like he would be a perfect fit for the Cincinnati Bengals!

Two of the K's favorites! Christina Milan and Kirsten Bell.
Detroit Tigers. The Tigers are now 40 games above .500! If the Tigers play only .500 ball for the rest of the season (unlikely), they will finish 101-60! It is beginning to look more and more like the Wildcard or no playoffs for the White Sox!

Interesting. Very Interesting.

I raise once more for discussion- Tiger Woods is the greatest golfer of all time!

Talladega Nights. I haven't seen this movie yet, but based on HM's movie review,
this sounds like a must-see summer flick.

Just in case any of you doubted my feelings for AA!!

You would think that the NFL would focus on more important things than new uniforms for referees!! What is going on with those new uniforms?!?

Starbucks. I love the coffee (an Iced Americano in the summer) and when I feel like cheating and having some carbs, the classic coffee cake at Starbucks. But for the most part I hate the people who work there and the customers there! C'mon, people, I know this is not your first time at Starbucks plus you are standing in line for 10 minutes, so why do you have to wait until you get all the way to the front of the line to say "Now, let me see, I think I will have a non-fat latte, no a skim vanilla...." Make your order, pay the person and then move out of the way!! And Starbucks employees, I am not at Starbucks to socialize with you! There are plently of people in my office to waste time with, just give me my COFFEE!!! Finally, the damn tip jar! I have been told that Starbucks employees get great benefits! For the most part all they are doing is pouring some coffee for me! If any one needs a tip before a Starbucks employee, it's the pimple faced kid at McDonalds working the deep fryer!! I mean if the barristas looked like this lass, I would fully understand the tip jar!

I absolutely adore Alessandra Ambrosio!! That's all I can say!

Why my friend, HM, still roots for the Reds!
