Heroes! With the "heroics" of Floyd Landis under a cloud of testerone and steroids dominating baseball headlines plus other sports like track and field, sport commentators wonder if there are any heroes left in sports. I prefer to look for people to idolize outside of sports. I for one choose to admire Carmen Electra and Katie Price Jordan!!
Lindsey Lohan's mom: MILF or not a MILF?

The St. Louis Cardinals leave Chicago winless! (Okay, the Cards far from suck, but I unable to locate a "Cardinals Suck in Chicago" picture). Another fine managing job by Tony LaRussa and his lackey, Dave Duncan!! With St. Louis out of town, the Cubs should return to their losing ways!

Finally!! While I grew up as primarily a fan of the White Sox, I watched alot of Cubs games. You couldn't help it, the games were WGN or more approriately, Channel 9 and of course all the home games were day games. When I got home form school the games had usually started but if I was lucky I would get the chance to see Dick Tidrow with his great moutache and high kick and then to close the game, Bruce Sutter! I am not sure I reall y understood what was so special about a split finger fastball except that most guys would strike out swinging at it! While he will wear a St. Louis cap in the Hall, he won his Cy Young with the Cubs. True Cubs fans should be proud as one of the all time great Cubs enters into the Hall of Fame today! Congrats to Sutter!

Damn-it was HOT in Chicago this weekend!!
The Chicago curse continues for Tony LaRussa. The Cards drop another one in Chicago while the White Sox use an offensive surge to win again in Baltimore!

St. Louis Cardinals must hate Chicago! With today's Cards-Cubs game just minutes away at the Friendly Confides, St. Louis has had a miserable time in our grand city this season. The Cards are 0-5 at Wrigley and of course were swept in a 3 game series on the Southside. Poor Tony LaRussa!!

Ross Gload! The White Sox's slump buster!!

Part of an ad campaing or a posting from an actual vengeful wife? In either case, this should serve as a warning for my readers who are married or otherwise in a committed relationship. I was told that this billboard is currently up in Chicago at the intersection of LaSalle and Ontario!!

A question for Major League Baseball: Why doesn't Andy Van Slyke have have to attend sensitivity training?

I will soon be in the market for a new car. I was thinking about a Chevy HHR or maybe even a Hybrid (I need to do something good for the environment). But all of a sudden I am interested in a Range Rover! Ah, the power of marketing! BTW, is there a cutest chick that the one featured in all those Mercury TV ads! Bonus points for anyone who can tell me her name!

The Celebrity or Hollywood rumor mill is actually more credible than baseball trade rumors (ESPN announced 2 days ago that the White Sox were "extremely close" to trading for Soriano- but guess what? Still no Soriano!). The latest out of Hollywood is that Carmen Electra, who always looks great especially here as a blonde, and Jamie Foxx may be an item. That's what I need- an Oscar!!

These twins I like. The Minnesota Twins, I no like. Forget about the Tigers- the Twins are now only 1 game behind the White Sox in the Wild Card chase going into today's game. And who is on the mound today for the ChiSox- Mark Buerhle, who has been the worst pitcher in the starting rotation the last two months. Sigh!

Okay, so Miss Poland did not win the Miss Universe Pageant. However based on this picture of the five finalists, it is difficult to argue with any of them!
The Cubs- they not so good! Another great article from "The Heckler" on the Cubs being swept by the Washington Nationals:
I am, at best, a casual observer of the game of golf. I'm lucky if I play golf twice a year. Nonetheless, I'm pretty confident in making this statement- Tiger Woods is the greatest golfer of all time! If you disagree tell me why and most importantly if it is not Tiger, then tell me who is the greatest golfer of all time.

USA! USA! USA! Tiger wins the British Open. Floyd Landis wins the Tour de France and Coach K is coaching Team USA! Be Proud to be an American and take this opportunity to salute the Stars and Stripes!

The White Sox have designated Chris Widger for assignment. While Chris was somewht disappointing this season, he was another key cog and one of my favorite players last season. Thanks for last season Chris and all the best in the future!!

Jon Garland and Matt Thorton combine to paint a pitching masterpiece shutting out the Texas Rangers, allowing ChiSox fans to breathe a little easier for the moment. DON'T STOP BELIEVING!
While the US has faltered awfully in recent international competition (World Cup, USA Basketball internationally), there is one sporting event where an American continues to dominate- the Tour de France! Several days ago, I commentted that it MIGHT be over for Landis after dropped back about 7 minutes behind the lead. Well, Landis took care of that deficit and has won the Tour. You can bet that many Europeans thought that the reign of America at the Tour was over with Lance Armstrong's retirement.

What was shaping up as another great American success story in the Tour de France appears to be over as American Floyd Landis has lost the lead.

I have doubled my daily workout routine and restarted my diet upon finding out that one of the hottest bodies around is back on the market!! Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro have announced that they are separating!

It was a tough, a very difficult, weekend to be a Chicago Sports fan! Oh well, things could be worse. At leaast it is always good to be an American. God bless America!

The White Sox have called back Sean Tracey to the majors and have set Cliff Politte for reassignment (Cliff deserves a huge thank you from all White Sox fans for an outstanding 2005! Cliff just couldn't do it this year but that should not change the fact that he was a key component to the World Series Championship!!). Wait a minute, Ozzie has called Sean Tracey back!! DO you think we will get an apology form Jay Mariotti?

Just as Jenny McCarthy was unable to save the movie "Baseketball", there were no saves in baseball yesterday.

I may have to see "Talladega Nights" after all if Leslie Bibb looks this delicious in the film!

This is getting ridiculous! Mark Prior returns to the DL to join his teammate, Kerry Wood!

Vanessa Marcil- very underrated!

Carmen Electra!!!! There are times when her face does not look all that great, but still in my humble opinion one of the most beautiful women around! Whenever I see one of those lists of the top 100 hottest women from Stuff or Maxim and Carmen is not in the top 10 or even in the top 20, I know the list is crap!!
She's an Uptown Girl! She should have stayed married to Billy Joel!! Well, at least I have a chance now!

Too bad tht the World Cup is over! Soccer is such a wonderful sport!!

More on the Zidane incident:

For those of you who will get dragged by your wives or girlfriends to see "The Devil Wears Prada," at least you will get to watch Anne Hathaway and if you watch really closely you will see the wonderful Gisele Bundchen. Unfortunately, Gisele is not wearing lingerie in the movie!

Monday, July 10, 2006

I have never heard of Jodie Marsh before. However based on this picture, you can bet that I will be wasting time with Yahoo and Google search for more pictures!! Yum!

How do you say idiot in French?

I have been told that it is always special if you can touch someone's heart.

With the Sox dropping two straight to the Red Sox, you can certaintly imagine my level of depression. My depression was somewhat interrupted by the exciting news that one of my long time favorites Stacey Dash is appearing in the upcoming issue of Playboy! Mo'Money! Mo'Money

Proving what a class act he is, A.J. has sent me and all of you a thank you for getting him into the All-Star game! As an additioanl thank you from the Polish American community, I have included a picture of Joanna Krupa, a former Chicagoan who I 've must have missed at all the Polish nightclubs in the city. Extra credit for anyone who can name what Comedy Central program, Joanna was once a prominent member of!!
It appears tht Northwestern will promote linebackers coach and former NU linebacker Pat Fitzgerald to the position of head football coach. Thoughts? Reactions?
Not surprisingly, certain members of the media focus entirely on the "negative" aspects of Ozzie Guillen (or as I prefer to call him "Ozzie the Great"). I have watched Ozzie's post game press conferences the last two nights and both times Ozzie was sporting a "Cure Autism" baseball cap. Kudoes to Ozzie for his help in spreading the word for a good cause. Here's the link to the Cure Autism Foundation:
Do you love the '80s? Well if you do, I must offer you this bit of advice. Don't play this version of Trivial Pursuit agaisnt my friend, HM, because you won't stand a chance!!

I promised you a reward if A. J. made the All Star game, and hopefully I have delivered to the satisfaction of all !! Wow, what kind of pictures will I have to post if A.J. is named the MVP of the All-Star game!?
As if this were not enough, A. J. made the All-Star team! Thanks to everyone who punched A. J.!

THANKS for voting for A.J.!

Any excuse to post a picture of Katie Price Jordan is okay with me! But, believe it or not, this time we get a legitimate reason, as Jordan is celebrating the publication of her first book, "Angel"! Hey if Jose Canseco and Jenna Jameson, among others, can write a book then why not this heavenly body!!!

Sometimes you have to simply state the obvious- Kristin Cavallari is a smokin' piece of a_ _ ! I also have to admit that I do feel like a little bit of a perv, since Kristin is only 19 years old. Therefore, in hopes of alleviating my own feelign of insecurity I decided to include a picture of Rachel Hunter, who is much older than 19!

Don't stop now!!!!!!! At last count A.J. wsa in the lead for the final AL All-Star spot! But it is still a close vote, so keep up the good work and K-Line readers will be richly rewarded!!

It finally appears that Dusty Baker's job MAY be in jeopardy! Wow! About time!!

Seriously, do these items of clothing really qualify as "bikinis"?
These can't be functional, can they?
Daddy3dog, your opinion is highly valued on this one!

This is definetly one for the strange, wacky and just plain unbelieveable in the world of sports. You would think that anyone who has appeared on "The Surreal Life" would posses no illusions of a minor league career much less a major league comeback- but here is Jose Canseco doing just that! The really funny thing is that this request for a trade may be the most sane thing to coem out of Jose's mouth lately. Do yourself a favor- forget about Jose and do an internet search of Jose's ex-wife "Jessica Canseco"! To quote Napolean Dynamite; "She's got skills!" Jose, he no got skills!!
