It was a tough, a very difficult, weekend to be a Chicago Sports fan! Oh well, things could be worse. At leaast it is always good to be an American. God bless America!

The White Sox have called back Sean Tracey to the majors and have set Cliff Politte for reassignment (Cliff deserves a huge thank you from all White Sox fans for an outstanding 2005! Cliff just couldn't do it this year but that should not change the fact that he was a key component to the World Series Championship!!). Wait a minute, Ozzie has called Sean Tracey back!! DO you think we will get an apology form Jay Mariotti?

Just as Jenny McCarthy was unable to save the movie "Baseketball", there were no saves in baseball yesterday.

I may have to see "Talladega Nights" after all if Leslie Bibb looks this delicious in the film!

This is getting ridiculous! Mark Prior returns to the DL to join his teammate, Kerry Wood!

Vanessa Marcil- very underrated!

Stacy Kiebler- the best legs in Hollywood?

Carmen Electra!!!! There are times when her face does not look all that great, but still in my humble opinion one of the most beautiful women around! Whenever I see one of those lists of the top 100 hottest women from Stuff or Maxim and Carmen is not in the top 10 or even in the top 20, I know the list is crap!!
She's an Uptown Girl! She should have stayed married to Billy Joel!! Well, at least I have a chance now!

More on the Zidane incident: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=373723&cc=5901

For those of you who will get dragged by your wives or girlfriends to see "The Devil Wears Prada," at least you will get to watch Anne Hathaway and if you watch really closely you will see the wonderful Gisele Bundchen. Unfortunately, Gisele is not wearing lingerie in the movie!

I have never heard of Jodie Marsh before. However based on this picture, you can bet that I will be wasting time with Yahoo and Google search for more pictures!! Yum!

How do you say idiot in French?

I have been told that it is always special if you can touch someone's heart.

With the Sox dropping two straight to the Red Sox, you can certaintly imagine my level of depression. My depression was somewhat interrupted by the exciting news that one of my long time favorites Stacey Dash is appearing in the upcoming issue of Playboy! Mo'Money! Mo'Money

Proving what a class act he is, A.J. has sent me and all of you a thank you for getting him into the All-Star game! As an additioanl thank you from the Polish American community, I have included a picture of Joanna Krupa, a former Chicagoan who I 've must have missed at all the Polish nightclubs in the city. Extra credit for anyone who can name what Comedy Central program, Joanna was once a prominent member of!!

It appears tht Northwestern will promote linebackers coach and former NU linebacker Pat Fitzgerald to the position of head football coach. Thoughts? Reactions?

Not surprisingly, certain members of the media focus entirely on the "negative" aspects of Ozzie Guillen (or as I prefer to call him "Ozzie the Great"). I have watched Ozzie's post game press conferences the last two nights and both times Ozzie was sporting a "Cure Autism" baseball cap. Kudoes to Ozzie for his help in spreading the word for a good cause. Here's the link to the Cure Autism Foundation: http://www.cureautismnow.org/site/c.bhLOK2PILuF/b.1021889/k.BFD8/Home.htm
Do you love the '80s? Well if you do, I must offer you this bit of advice. Don't play this version of Trivial Pursuit agaisnt my friend, HM, because you won't stand a chance!!

I promised you a reward if A. J. made the All Star game, and hopefully I have delivered to the satisfaction of all !! Wow, what kind of pictures will I have to post if A.J. is named the MVP of the All-Star game!?
As if this were not enough, A. J. made the All-Star team! Thanks to everyone who punched A. J.!

THANKS for voting for A.J.!

Any excuse to post a picture of Katie Price Jordan is okay with me! But, believe it or not, this time we get a legitimate reason, as Jordan is celebrating the publication of her first book, "Angel"! Hey if Jose Canseco and Jenna Jameson, among others, can write a book then why not this heavenly body!!!

Sometimes you have to simply state the obvious- Kristin Cavallari is a smokin' piece of a_ _ ! I also have to admit that I do feel like a little bit of a perv, since Kristin is only 19 years old. Therefore, in hopes of alleviating my own feelign of insecurity I decided to include a picture of Rachel Hunter, who is much older than 19!

Don't stop now!!!!!!! At last count A.J. wsa in the lead for the final AL All-Star spot! But it is still a close vote, so keep up the good work and K-Line readers will be richly rewarded!!

It finally appears that Dusty Baker's job MAY be in jeopardy! Wow! About time!! http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2509667

Seriously, do these items of clothing really qualify as "bikinis"?
These can't be functional, can they?
Daddy3dog, your opinion is highly valued on this one!

This is definetly one for the strange, wacky and just plain unbelieveable in the world of sports. You would think that anyone who has appeared on "The Surreal Life" would posses no illusions of a minor league career much less a major league comeback- but here is Jose Canseco doing just that! The really funny thing is that this request for a trade may be the most sane thing to coem out of Jose's mouth lately. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2509719 Do yourself a favor- forget about Jose and do an internet search of Jose's ex-wife "Jessica Canseco"! To quote Napolean Dynamite; "She's got skills!" Jose, he no got skills!!
So does Ozzie replace Manny with Joe Crede? http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/allstar06/news/story?id=2509604

Punch A.J.! Punch A. J. ! Right now, A.J. is running second to Minnesota's Francisco Liriano for the final AL All-Star spot! If A.J. wins the final All-star spot, then K-Line readers will be richly rewarded with plenty of pictures of the ladies!!!!

Maybe a couple of shots of Katie Price Jordan can help Daddy3dogg and everyone excited about returning to work after the July 4th holiday! Good luck everyone!

Just in case you are wondering why I am rooting for England over Portugal in the World Cup!!!

Cubs Win! The Cubs finally win a home game by defeating the powerful Milwaukee Brewers! It looks like Dusty gets to manage for at least one more day! As a treat for Cubs fans out there, I have provided a picture of the three honeys!!
The Cubs lose again?!? The Cubs have now lost 9 straight games at the "Friendly Confides"! I do not understand why Dusty has not been fired. Okay, he was without Derek Lee, Wood and Prior. Nonetheless the team is AWFUL!! Listen to Dusty after games. It sounds like he wants to get fired!! Hey, give him his wish! Maybe a change of pace will create some excitement for the team. Until then,

Still not enougth to get me interested in NASCAR or Formula racing, or whatever, but not bad!!!
Duke's AD Joe Alleva has issued a statement concerning the boating accident he was involved in. The statement doesn't mention anything about his son being arrested for a DUI.

“On Friday, June 23, my son J.D. and I were involved in a boating accident on Hyco Lake in Person County. It occurred as we were trying to navigate our way back to shore in dark, rainy conditions. The boat ran ashore, and I suffered a laceration on my head, which was bleeding. Because of the remote location of where the boat was aground, J.D. had to swim for roughly an hour, and ran to several houses before finding a home with someone to get me help. Upon the arrival of the EMS team, I was taken to the emergency room at Person County Memorial hospital and received several stitches in my head. I walked out of the emergency room on my own that night. I am thankful that the incident involved only one boat, that no one was seriously hurt and that my son was able to locate an occupied home on the lake with gracious people willing to assist us. The injury was not serious and I was in my office working today.”

White Sox 3B Joe Crede (who better be on the AL All-Star team) was named the AL Player of the week. Crede is another player that Moron Mariotti used to rip on. Since I could not find a great picture of Joe Crede (okay, I didn't really try) I decided to go with another picture of Lucy Pinder. Hey, Joe Crede was hot last week and as far as I can tell, Lucy is always hot!!
No, DUI does not stand for "Dukies Under the Influence." But the media will be all over this story! http://www.wral.com/news/9431635/detail.html?treets=ral&tml=ral_break&ts=T&tmi=ral_break_1_09430206272006

Another Jenna Jameson picture- for no specific reason at all.

To follow up on my previous post about Adult Movie Stars sliding into mainstream projects, today is Jenteal's birthday. As far as I know it is not Jenna Jameson's birthday, but I like what she is doing with her hair!
Fantastic! The White Sox hit grand slams in three straight games! Let's go for four !!!

The White Sox go for win #10 in a row and win #50 on the season! Since I was in attendance last season when the Sox claimed win # 50, we shall see if I can continue my good luck for the Sox as I again will be in attendance at the Cell!

Friday, June 23, 2006

Sometimes all you need is ONE hit! Jim Thome's home run was enough to conplete the sweep agaisnt the St. Louis Cardinals. Got to spend some time with some Cards fans before the game and honestly they could not be nicer and more complimentary about the Sox, the Cell and Sox fans. Now it is time for the World Series rematch this weekend! GO Sox!!

Thursday, June 22, 2006

I just did a Yahoo search of "Hate Jay Mariotti" and it came up with 6,810 hits. Here's one of the better results: http://www.deadspin.com/sports/hometown-columnists/why-your-hometown-columnist-sucks-jay-mariotti-128983.php By the way, for those of you who don't know, Mariotti's radio show was cancelled because it sucked!!!
Barring more thunderstorms, I will be in attendance tonight at the Cell as the best manager in MLB goes for the sweep over the most overrated manager in MLB.

Alright Badger, is this helpful?!
Try not to laugh to much at this one! The N.Y. Knicks have fired Larry Brown and hired Isiah Thomas as head coach!

I better start watching some of the World Cup!
This summary is not available. Please click here to view the post.
Some random thoughts about the NBA finals. I didn't get to watch very much of last night's game as I was at the Cell watching the incredible offensive onslaught that the White Sox put on the Cardinals! Twenty runs- I have never seen a baseball game like that in person (and I can't remember a game like that even on TV). I thought if I ever would see 20 runs in a game or a 11 run inning, it would be on the North side of town! Anyway back to the NBA finals. If you want some great comments and thoughts on the Finals, please visit my friend's often recommended blog, www.hoopramblings.blogspot.com. Dwyane Wade is just an incredible player who had a "Lucy Pinder" performace in his first NBA finals. Best player in the NBA right now? Okay, it's difficult not to pick Lebron but other than Lebron it has to be Wade, right? In the past I defended Mark Cuban and rationalized his actions as the same thing most of us sports fans would do if we became billionaries (besides having sex with two women at once- "Office Space"). Howver, his behavior in the Finals made me root for the Heat in game 6! Wearing a Stackhouse jersey in game 5 was not only a "F-you" to the league but hey, what about playing favorites among your own players! Cuban, even young billionaires or even millionaires have to act grown-up once in a while. If not, then we would never be able to criticize Paris Hilton!
