One of my favorite college coaches has returned to the bench- Rick Majerus, at least as of now he has. Several years back he took the USC job that then resgned after 3 or 4 days, so he is till within that window.
Majerus takes over the St. Louis University Billikens.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billiken. He returns to the Mid-west, and like Marquette, another Jesuit college, albeit without Marquette's basketball tradition. Hopefully his health will allow him to coach for several years and we will hear great stories about him living in a hotel, dining at great restaurants like Denny's after a game all overshadowing some great game time coaching strategies.
Best decision by SLU President Lawrence Biondi since he sent me to the Annapolis Conference my senior year when Biondi was Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences at Loyola!
