ACC/BIG TEN CHALLENGE IS ACC DOMINATION!

The ACC once again (surprise!) won the ACC/BIG TEN challenge. Maybe it's time for the Big Ten to switch to the Big Ten/Big West challenge! Cal Poly and UC-Davis may be more to your liking. Then again, the Badgers don't want to play Cal Poly in football again-ouch!

I would hardly say that the ACC dominated. Even Northwestern beat Florida State. It is obvious that the ACC and Big Ten are evenly matched. Moreover, the Iowa and IL games were so close!

Results of 2 Key Big 10 Home Games:

Duke by 20; UNC by 30.

That is really all you need to know.

Except that there are more teams in the ACC than Duke and UNC. . .

Thus, all you have to know is that the ACC won 6 games and the Big 10 5 games. Winning by a 6-5 margin is hardly dominating!

Badger- the Big Ten has NEVER won the challenge. Never. 0-10! If there was a year the Big Ten should have won, this was it. But No! The perceived two best teams in the ACC were up agaisnt the perrceived two best teams in the Big Ten and killed them. Try this analogy- the White Sox sweep the Astros in the 2005 World Series. Every game was clos (especially the last 2 games), but it is still a sweep. Does the AL dominate the Nl in the All-Star games-yes! The individual games may be close, but the streak continues. Ten years of the challenge and ten years that the ACC has won. That is domination! BTW, the Badgers football team better stop playing Cal Poly. Cal Poly might recruit a kicker and the you are in trouble!

No one is arguing that the ACC has dominated over the past nine years. This year the ACC did not dominate. And, if Iowa would have hit its free throws at the end of its game and if Illinois would have taken a shot at the end of the game, that might have been two more Big Ten wins. It is the begining of the end of the ACC's hegemony and the dawn of a new and exciting era of Big Ten greatness. Soon all of the McDonald's All-Americans will be playing in Madison at the Kohl Center.

As to Cal Poly, I have nothing to say to that. The Badgers played a rubbish game, but they did win and they will be going to a bowl.

As to the Big Ten winning the next ten years to quote PG, "anything can happen." They may win the next 20 years.

Wow. Keep telling yourself that. Maybe next year the Big Ten's #1 squad can play Carolina within, what? 22? Oh wait, it is on the road. 32?
