THANK YOU, MINNESOTA

Words that you don't hear from me very often. The Blackhawks needed a big heap of help from the Minnesota Wild on Sunday night to make the playoffs. It looked like the 'Hawks would go from Stanley Cup champions to missing the playoffs in one year. The Wild had to keep the Stars from winning in regulation or OT. Well with all of Chicago watching a Wild-Stars hockey game on NHL Network, the Wild defeated the Stars in regulation giving the Blackhawks the 8th spot in the playoffs. Talk about backing into the playoffs. And talk about sending out a big "Thank you, Minnesota!"

Sweet! Not only are you entitled to dinner, you now get dessert too! In all seriousness, great crowd at what was a meaningless gamefor the Wild. I am sure that beating the former Northstars had somethign to do with it.

We sell 'em all out here. That's why we are "The State of Hockey." (Didn't hurt that the Frozen Four Championship was in town the night before, or that Minnesota-Duluth won that game! :))

I watched the overtime period of the championship game. After watching that I was hoping that UMD was going to play the Stars on Sunday! BTW, it's funny that Minnesota is the State of Hockey and HM is NOT a fan of the game.

True Dat. But HM is getting less and less a fan of anything in his surly old age! LOL
