John Smoltz-future Hall of Famer?

I see Smoltz as an easy HOF inductee, but then again I am completely baffled at why Bert Blyleven can't get in.

The HOF voters will be sorely challenged for starting pitching entries until 5 years after Smoltz/Clemens/Maddox/Glavine get out of baseball. I mean, Jack Morris was the #2 pitcher of the 1980s and early 1990s -- he gets only a paltry amount of votes.

Hm- I agree with you Smoltz should be an easy HOF. However Tim Kurckian (sp?) on ESPN said that Smoltz is a HOF right now- "but barely." I think he was implying that Smoltz better pitch another year or so and he better not suck.
