More "Nice-nice" on the NFL Draft.
(Remainder of Round 1)
11. San Fran. Patrick Willis-LB-- best linebacker in the draft and will be part of a huge off-season overhaul for the 49ers. Will be coached by LB coach Mike Singletary. That's like Sanjaya getting Randy Jackson as a record producer.
12. Buffalo Marshawn Lynch - RB - Okay, maybe a little bit of a reach at this point but clearly the #2 RB on the board and Buffalo needs a running back.
St. Louis Adam Carriker - DE -- Big strong pass rusher.
NY Jets Darrelle Revis - CB -- Top CB in the draft and you can never have too many CBs in the NFL. Did the Jets fans think the team was trading up to get Brady Quinn?
Pittsburgh Lawrence Timmons - OLB -- Again, good size for an outside LB, from a school (Florida State) that has produced some good ones.
Green Bay Justin Harrell - DT -- I know nothing about this guy and he is going to Green Bay, so who really cares.
Denver Jarvis Moss - DE -- In a year that everyone was taking about "character issues" Broncos that a chance on someone who has troubled past.
Cincinnati Leon Hall - CB -- Michigan corner should play right away for the Bengals!
Tennessee Michael Griffin - S -- Made some big plays for the Longhorns this past season. Reunited with former teammate Vince Young.
NY Giants Aaron Ross - CB - Another Texas secondary member.
Jacksonville Reggie Nelson - S -- Just what the Jags wanted- fills big need at safety!
Cleveland Brady Quinn - QB -- Your the Golden Boy from the school with the Golden Dome. All the nation cried will you slide down the draft board. At least you had your girlfriend with you. And while she certainly was cute, you are the Golden Boy from the Golden Dome and you certainly can do much better than her! If Jeff Garcia can marry a former Playmate, then you certainly are entitled to the hottest chick in Cleveland!
Kansas City Dwayne Bowe - WR -- Has all the markings to be the #1 receiver in KC.
New England Brandon Meriweather - S -- Again a player with character issues, but this is New England. Based on the New England's offseason thus far, Brandon better mark his calendar for Super Bowl Sunday.
Carolina Jon Beason - OLB -- Ray Lewis was taken with the #26 pick in the first round, so you certainly can find great LBs late in the first round.
Dallas Anthony Spencer - DE -- Combo guy who can line up at DE and OLB.
New Orleans Robert Meachem - WR -- Replacement for Joe Horn and a nice target for Drew Brees.
San Francisco Joe Staley - OT -- Stud athlete at OT (entered college as a TE). The Bears would have probably taken him if he was still there at #31.
Baltimore Ben Grubbs - OG --With Staley taken just one pick earlier, Ravens stick with the OL.
San Diego Craig Davis - WR -- Second LSU receiver taken in first round (nicest thing I can say here).
Chicago Greg Olsen - TE --Already loved in Chicago. A potential star tight end!! A good looking guy who Chicago women are already swooning over!
Indianapolis Anthony Gonzalez - WR --replacement for Brandon Stokley.
