Could Northwestern FINALLY Make The Big Dance?
The Wildcats' defeat of Purdue gives Northwestern a record of 17-11. A victory or two in the Big Ten Tourney could finally mean that Northwestern will no longer be the only team from a BCS conference to NEVER make the Big Dance.
Do they have no workout rooms or tanning beds at Northwestern? Do smart girls not care how they look? Yikes.
I think that what NWern's win does is actually help OTHER Big Ten teams get in. All of those "whoa, bad loss to Northwestern!" concerns go away. But I don't see anything out of NWern that justifies a tourney bid.
