Of course the team from Jersey won last night! A great day for Rutgers, but a bad day for the Big East (even if Rutgers finishes the season undefeated, the Scarlet Knights will not play in the BCS championships game) and the end result will probably be more complaints about the BCS!

The hell with the NFL playoffs. Let's just have the media pick the 2 best teams to play in the Super Bowl. PAR

Let's not forget the managers and the coaches, they need to have some say as to which teams play in the super bowl.

Let's say Rutgers beats WVU, Ohio State beats Michigan by 40, Cal beats USC, USC beats Notre Dame, Florida loses to Florida State but beats Arkansas. Isn't it Rutgers v. Ohio State? Mike Greenberg said today that he really loves this system b/c "it makes every game a playoff game." Thoughts?

I heard Greenie's comments this morning, and I think he is making alot of assumptions and he thinks things will work out. Under your scenario it would be Rutgers, or maybe Wisconsin! What if Ohio State beats Michigan in a triller and Notre Dame beats USC- why would Notre Dame deserve it more than Michigan? Michigan KILLED ND at South Bend (I think) and Michigan will have lost to Ohio State in Columbus. Just because the ND loss was earlier in the season. Let's just concede that the Ohio State - Michigan game is the National Championship and forget the bowl games!!
