SOME QUICK SPORTS NOTES: Well at least we can now stop those silly comparisons to the '85 Bears. The Bears have much larger concerns than a blemish to their previously perfect record. What about a second poor performance by Rex Grossman? What is Urlacher's health status? Is the reward factor with Devin Hestor returning punts worth the all the risks?....Luckily for the Bears, they play in the NFC North so the playoffs seem like a sure thing; however, playoff success is a whole different story...You have to say that the Colts are clearly the #1 team int he NFL, but which team in #2? The Bears? Several teams stand at 6-2 including the Pats and the Broncos... Saw the #1 college team, Ohio State, in person as the Buckeyes sleepwalked to a win over the Illini. Hopefully for Buckeye fans, that effort was simply an aberration for an otherwise dominant team.

You know, come to think of it, the 85 Bears lost to the Dolphins too. Now, I am further convinced that these current Bears are just like the 85 Bears!

2006 Bears almost lost to the Arizona Cardinals and did lose to an AWFUL Miami team. The 1985 Bears lost to a Miami team who, I believe, was just coming off a Super Bowl season.

It was Miami nevertheless. Thus, my point. This Bears team is just like that Bears team, minus Ditka.

UIC Badger- who would you want Rex Grossman or Jim McMahon at QB? Walter Payton or Thomas Jones at RB?

Both Grossman & McMahon are similar in that both are brittle pieces of glass, yet great quarterbacks. Obviously Payton is better than Jones. But, we have Urlacher.
