With the string of small-ball NL opponents coming to an end, you can bank on the Twins going belly-up. Our years-long inability to find some overweight thumper to stick in the middle of the order is greatly puzzling to me.

Still a great story (what the Twins have done so far) that is overlokked becasue of the Cubs and Tampa Bay Rays!

Twins now only 1/2 game out. So long as we continue to play punchless NL opponents (WA, AZ, SD) in relatively spacious parks, we look to be a 98 win team.

Move us to small AL parks against good hitting Al teams, well, um, not so much.

But you are correct, so far it is a great story.

You make an excellent point- but at least the Twins are taking advantage of the small parks! Take Wrigley for example. It's a shoebox with a "basket" that catches home runs (half the home runs that the Cubs scored agaisnt the Sox were becasue of the basket). But the Sox didn't take advantage of the small park. Congrats to the Twins. Now for my sanity -START LOSING!

Yeah um...not very comfortable with this turn of events. Im looking for The Yanks at the WC again...so I dont need another one of those pesky Central teams screwing it up. And dont sleep on Detroit. They seem ready to finally play.
