AJ-WINNER! MAUER/"MORE-OH NO" COMBINED O FOR 6!
NOT ON AJ'S WATCH, TWINS, NOT ON AJ'S WATCH!
My dear friend HM, when will you learn, when will you learn. AJ has a World Series ring. More-no, Mauer (na da!);but, keep winning batting titles and meaningless home run derby titles while coming up o-fer in the big game. Even when AJ doesn't do it with his bat, he defends the plate and handles a young pitching staff on little rest flawlessly.
THOME, DANKS, GRIFFEY, BA, OC, JENKS and AJ-THANK YOU!
OZZIE! KENNY WILLIAMS! THANK YOU!
AND THANKS TO MY MINNESOTA "BUDDIES" FOR REMINDING ME OF ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT LESSONS IN SPORTS-KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT UNTIL IT'S OVER!
Good luck to the Cubbies today- keep the Chicago winning streak going today!!!

K-

Congratulations.

A great season battle between two teams that really over-achieved. Fittingly, it came down to one pitch.

While I continue to hate AJ (for his attitutde, not his play), I have great admiration for Ozzie, Griffey, and most of the rest of the squad. Thome has vexed the Twins for years... never more than yesterday.

Mauer and Morneau did what they did all year-- show inconsistency at the plate. There is a reason we rely on small ball here. With luck, we can get a big bat at third base in the off-season. But if not, that will be OK too.

I will be routing for the AL Central representatives (until they play Torri, and unless AJ is batting) throughout the post-season.

Lastly, try not to be too much of a sore-winner. It could comeback to haunt you. The Twins young pitching and relatively young team overall is well-positioned to take down the 2008 Division Champs next year.

Ah, baseball. There always is next year.

THNAKS (just as Ozzie told Gardy, if the outcome was otherwise, I would have been the first to congratulate you). Two Twinkies fans, sorry-Twins fans- sat in our row. After the game I congratulated them on a great season for the Twins and they were very gracious and wished the Sox good luck in the playoffs. Class. Then a little later, outside the stadium I saw a couple in Twins gear. They were fat and ugly so they could have actually have been from Chicago. Anyway when I tried to wish them Congrats on a great season, they looked at me like I had just shot their dog! To those fans, I say "F You, losers!" Speaking of losers, please tell me that none of you know that idiot who tossed back Ken Griffey's 611 home run!?! That is a tradition that is best limited to Wrigley Field ONLY. And even in that case, some bleacher bum regulars, will bring a crap ball with them and switch it before the toss back. But dude, you don't toss back Junior's 611 home run. Moron!
Ah, Chicago, I love this city!

You'd look great in platinum blonde hair, just like your man, AJ. Please send pics. RKG's drooling.

Sox -- winners.

You just can't deny it. It is like the old "SCORE-board" chant -- say what you will, you can't deny the cold hard facts.

Cubs? Uh, no.
