Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip- a big disappointment. One of my favorite television programs was Aaron Sorkin's short-lived "Sportsnight" (lasted 2 seasons, but available on DVD). Likewise, the first 5 seasons on "The West Wing" was some of the best stuff on network television. Therefore, I was pretty excited that Sorkin was returning to tv with "Studio 60." he critcs rave about it, if fact the critics will tell you that you are an idiot if you don't like this show. Well, screw the critcs- this show is bad! If you are working at the White House, I can allow for people to walk around have constantly have moral discussions, but not backstage at a comedy show. Oh by the way, not once have I laughed at any of the jokes on the fictional "show within a show." Now those of you who know me know how liberal I am, but the excessively leftist slant of this show makes me sick!! Not even the guest appearance of John Goodman (how much does he weigh now!?) on the last two episodes was enough to save this program. I can go on and on about the things that are wrong with this show, but suffice it to say I am kissing this show good-bye (see how I worked in that picture of AA!!). I will keep Tivo-ing "Heroes" on NBC, but "bye-bye "Studio 60" unless the show gets a total overhaul!!

I tried to watch for 10 minutes last night -- it was wretchedly painful. I GUESS it is possible that this is actually how TV works, but if so, I guess it isn't worth making a show about.

There is no way that TV works like this- if for no other reason, Amanda Peet is totally unbelievable as a TV executive! If Peet is not showing her rack- then she isn't worth watching!
