BRETT FAVRE NAMED SI SPORTSMEN OF THE YEAR
Thanks to John Madden's vote, Favre pulls out a victory in a year where few stood out. Personally, I think Barry Bonds was robbed!

The writers at SI must not have had access to the NFL Network's broadcast of the Green Bay - Dallas game. Favre was lousy and begged out of the game because of a bruised elbow. When replaced by the back-up quarterback, Favre demonstrated no enthusiasm whatsoever for the backup's solid effort to dig his squad out of the hole Favre had dug. Sportsman, my ass.

Maybe Mark Chmura will write in to defend Favre's selection. I haven't heard anything from him in years ...

Chmura is probably still trying to explain to his wife how much the 18 year old babysitter in the hot tub was "asking for it" on the floor of his bathroom.
