LARRY FITZGERALD: #3 PICK IN HISTORIC 2004 NFL DRAFT

Readers of this blog know how often I have lamented the pure awfulness of the 2005 NFL draft. Maybe one reason was that the 2004 Draft has loaded with great players. Fitzgerald (who with 3 minutes left in the first half of the NFC Championship game has 3 TD catches) was the 3rd pick in that draft.

** The Vikings' picks in 2004 were, of course, dreadful as ever.

Well, first round pick, Udeze, was special circumstances, so I give the Vikes a pass on that one. Otherwise, you are correct! Vikings do have Bernard Berrian, one of the Bears' picks that year.
