Has told people he will play in the NCAA, leading Coach K to say, "hold on, we are WAAAAAAAy away from making that decision."He could be penciled in for Thornton's minutes. Could not be much of a downgrade, unless he cannot run at all.
Thorton got no minutes in the ACC final, and what, a few minutes in the Maryland and Va Tech games? Why can't Irving play a few mintues here and there!?
If he wants to play and he won't make himself worse or risk permanent injury, I say go ahead and play him 8 minutes or so.Problem is, Duke has completely changed its offense since he went down. The only spot he can play now is Smith's backup.
