I agree with that ranking. I don't like U Conn. I don't like Calipari coached teams. Butler's coach and VCU's coach are so interesting. I am not sure how Coach Smart will be able to motivate his team using his "chip on shoulder" method because Butler is also an underdog, but I am sure he will find something.

Good point about VCU's motivation (BTW-I think you should name your first born son- Shaka!). It was great that Carolina didn't make the Final Four!! Go to hell, Carolina, Go to hell!!

The only Shaka that I knew of before this tournament was Shaka Zulu.

Here is how I assess this season for the teams that I follow

UW---Overachieved. Future appears bright next year. I was devastated about the Badger loss to Butler but then I remembered that the Badgers were supposed to be bad this year, so I feel better now.

UNC-Made the tournament this year after the NIT next year. When the Badgers lost, to help me get over that loss I said "at least I have UNC." Well, that didn't last long. Still, the year was OK, and the future is bright next year.

UIC-I remember when the Flames were good. When I was in college, we had Sherrell Ford and Mark Miller and we made the NCAA tournament for the first time in 94. We had Jimmy Collins and made the NCAA tournament and NIT several times. However, UIC's future is bleak. UIC has showed no promise in the last few years. The only Chicago team worse than UIC is Chicago State. K, do you see UIC having any kind of future in the next few years? Please tell me that I am wrong and have something to hope for! I think Loyola's future is brighter. I don't get how Butler, Detroit, UW-Green Bay and UW-Milwaukee are competitive every year but UIC seems to always suck. Doesn't UIC recruit in Chicago, where all the talent is?

As to Duke, I know you are down now, but they will be back and back strong. Duke had a solid year.
