The Trojans just defeated Penn State, giving USC a 12-1 record.
The winner of the BCS Championship game will also have one loss, so why not USC as the national champion? Many dismiss USC because if played in the "weak" Pac-10 (granted it included the pitiful Washington and Washington State); but the Pac-10 is undefeated in the Bowl season (5-0). It's only loss was to Oregon State- again not a great team, but a bowl team.
So again, I ask, why not USC?
