College Football:
1. Kudos to Ty Willingham and the Washington Huskies, for beating Boise State and ending the nation's longest winning streak. Ty got a raw deal at Notre Dame, so it's nice to see him have some success at Washington. 2. Unfortunately, the Ducks fell short of my 50 point goal. But, get those Tivos ready for next week's battle of the titans: 0-2 Notre Dame vs. 0-2 Michigan. 3. While Michigan was the only Big Ten team to lose this weekend, it was far from a stellar weekend of the "Medium Ten": unlike UIC Badger, I actually watched the Wisconsin-UNLV game and the Badgers were very lucky to win as the Rebels outplayed the Badgers; Northwestern needed a late rally to beat the other team from Nevada, the Wolfpack; and in the second half, the Buckeyes were in a 3-2 battle with the Akron Zips!

Gphers blew a 16-point 4th quarter lead at home, but won in triple OT over Miami-OH.

Looks like the Big Ten really sucks.

Bears -- last place.

I watched a bot of ND v. Penn State. Does Charlie Weis even TRY to recruit players??? I mean, any insurer watching the line play would never insure Jimmy Clausen. And if he DOES manage to get the ball off, he is throwing to a bunch of guys who look like they have no idea what they are doing.

Agreed re Notre Dame. Lloyd Carr actually has talent, but can't seem to figure out the "spread offense"! On talent alone, ND should beat Michigan, but who knows.
