Some Quick Sports Notes:
1. App. State over Michigan. On Saturday after the game at the Big House, I heard one football talking head call this the biggest upset in college football history-ever! I thought no way. Huge upset, yes, but it can't be the biggest upset ever! Well, I can't think of a bigger one. Look how many of the top ranked programs scheduled games against Division 1-AA schools this past weekend (Ohio State, Florida, Northwestern). I guess, Michigan's mistake was picking the best Division 1-AA team as its "cupcake." Michigan has now lost three in a row and no matter what the Michigan's AD states, not only is Lloyd Carr on the hot seat, but that baby is on fire! If Michigan doesn't beat Ohio State, the alumni pressure will be too strong to his Carr's job. And well the rest of the Big Ten was cheering its collective head off as ASU blocked the final field goal attempt, this does not help the nationwide opinion of the Big Ten, considered to be overrated. Big Ten teams better fare well in Bowl games.
2. Notre Dame As most of you can guess, Georgia Tech's victory made me very happy on Saturday! Domers do you still love Charlie Weiss (maybe it's time for NBC to run another one of those humanitarian image-clean up story about the kindness of Charlie Weiss, before the media jumps all over his pompous, pretentious ass!)? How can you play three QBs in that game? Ah, it gets better- Freshman Jimmy Clausen goes into the G-Tech game as your third-string QB but now he is your starter against Penn State?! 3. Illinois So the Illini lose again, nothing new there. But, what a comeback attempt behind a freshman quarterback forced into action after Juice gets knocked out of the game. If the Illini can match that effort the rest of the season, dare I say it: 5 or even 6 wins!!! And is there a better player on a bad team than Illini LB J Lehman!? He averages sonmething like 15 tackles every freakin' game!
4. Zambrano: Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! You should start hanging around with Michael Vick, who can serve like your "reference girl". In comparison to Vick, you will actually be loved and maybe even cheered by those lazy, jobless, stupid, worthless fans (oh sorry, confused you with Lee Elia for a minute). Sorry, you only called the Wrigley faithful- selfish!

Very surprised that the Badgers didn't play a Division 1-AA team last weekend!!! Badgers are probably pissed that Northwestern scheduled Northeastern first!!

Powerhouse teams like Wisconsin don't play teams like Northeastern (at least not this year).
